Procurement Head - MEP for OSAT / FAB Facility Construction
Overview:
The Procurement Head – MEP is responsible for all MEP systems procurement including specialized equipment needed for Clean Room operations and other ancillary facilities which are part of OSAT / FAB factory.
This role is pivotal in ensuring the timely and cost-effective completion of construction projects. The ideal candidate shall have 15-20 years of experience leading the Procurements of all MEP Systems needed to operationalize an OSAT / FAB facility.
The Candidate Familiar with cleanroom specifications, protocols, design principles, standards and systems required for maintenance is desirable.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute procurement strategies aligned with the construction timeline.
- Identify and qualify suppliers, subcontractors, and service providers capable of meeting construction specifications and timelines.
- Establish and maintain relationships with key suppliers and contractors.
- Have clear understanding of lead time for all MEP elements.
- Evaluate supplier and contractor performance.
- Develop and manage procurement budgets in collaboration with project stakeholders.
- Prepare regular reports on procurement activities including cost projections.
- Administer contracts with suppliers and subcontractors, ensuring regulatory requirements.
- Develop risk mitigation strategies to minimize disruptions in construction.
- Forecast levels of demand for services and products in the semiconductor industry, and project price trends and their impact on project procurement activities
- Implement contingency plans and alternative sourcing strategies to address unforeseen issues.
- keep up to date with trends and innovations, regulation and new technology that can impact on the business
- Lead audits and inspections to verify compliance with quality and regulatory requirements.
- Manage and motivate team.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
Proficiency in procurement software, ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle), and MS Office Suite.
