Position: Rotating Equipment Engineer .

Location: Mumbai- Corporate office.

Budget: upto 50 LPA.

Experience Required: Extensive in-depth rotating equipment system design experience of 15 -20 years covering OFFSHORE oil and gas production facilities preferably of FPSOs in a DESIGN environment. Experience in 'OFFSHORE' facilities design is a MUST. Combination Experience in a client / operatorenvironment is preferredand a significant advantage

Position Goal: To deliver rotating equipmentdesign and operating assurance of the Oil & Gasfacilities in compliance with Regulatory, Company and International Codes & Standards for carrying out plant modifications, brownfield project work and asset integrity relatedwork (including preparingdesign deliverables and review / approval of the same by engineering contractors) and providing O & M Technical support.

Job Description:

  • Provide discipline input into AssetIntegrity, Brownfield Projects & Operations / Maintenance work
  • Provide discipline input into the 'Management of Change, Operations Risk Assessment and other risk workshops as per Company standards.
  • Review of concession requests relating to discipline and SCE elements.
  • Serve as the BarrierOwner with accountability for related SCE elements in the Operational Performance Standard / Safety Case
  • Monitor on a continuous basis that the equipment/ systemperforms within the design envelope & associated SCE performance standards
  • As the Barrier Ownerwith accountability for related SCE elements, deliverthe process for design verification by a third party for corresponding SCE elements.
  • Provide day-to-day competent advice to the operations team within the discipline
  • Establish the requirements for design deliverables relating to rotating equipment discipline for brownfield / modification projects.
  • Ensure that codes, standards and functional specifications for rotating equipment design are suitable for their corresponding applications.
  • Undertake a review of previous lessons learned, consider and incorporate appropriate learning into the design.
  • Participate in HAZIDs, HAZOPs,SAFOP and other HSSE- relatedreviews.
  • Participate in Incident Investigations and Root Cause Analysis
  • Provide support for Inspection and Repair
  • Undertake Base support & Offshore Travel as per assigned Rota to meet the above job requirements and upon any requests from operations.
  • Prepare discipline engineering deliverables and provide input into scopesof work where such work is to be executed through a Consultancy organization
  • Monitor progress of the development of design deliverables and propose corrective actions in the event of potential schedule overrun.
  • Prepare technical and progress reports to support flow of key information to management to assist in decision making.
  • Participate in the procurement process (e.g. ITT requisition packages) through the evaluation of technical submissions including technical pre-qualification of vendors.
  • Support Operations in the development of the Operations Assurance Plan that describes the operational activities, assurance requirements and deliverables, includingplans for readinessfor handover and commissioning and approve same.

Knowledge

  • Good knowledge of international Codes and Standardsused in the design RotatingEquipment
  • Experience with Large Turbo Machinery such as GE's LM2500, Large Screw and Centrifugal
  • compressors is desirable
  • Proficient in the use/application of Condition Monitoring Systems.
  • Good awareness of best practices acrossthe industry
  • Reasonable Knowledgeof 'Driver' / Driven Equipment Electrical systems
  • Good understanding of how various engineering disciplines interact
