MEAN Stack Developer

About the Role : We are looking for a talented and detail-oriented MEAN Stack Developer to join our engineering team.The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in MongoDB, Express.js, Angular, and Node.js, along with strong knowledge of RESTful API design, microservices, and cloud deployment. You will be responsible for designing and implementing scalable web applications, ensuring optimal performance, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver robust solutions.Experience working in the insurance domain will be a strong advantage.Key Responsibilities : - Design, develop, and deploy scalable MEAN stack applications with clean, maintainable, and efficient code.- Build and optimize RESTful APIs and backend services using Node.js and Express.js.- Develop rich and dynamic frontend interfaces using Angular (v10+), leveraging component-based architecture and TypeScript best practices.- Integrate backend APIs with frontend applications ensuring high performance and responsiveness.- Design and manage MongoDB schemas, queries, and aggregations for optimal performance.- Implement indexing, sharding, and query optimization strategies for large datasets.- Ensure data integrity and performance tuning across database operations.- Work with microservices architecture for modular, scalable application design.- Participate in containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes.- Collaborate in defining architecture standards, code guidelines, and best practices.- Contribute to API gateway integration, message brokers, and service discovery mechanisms.- Deploy and manage applications on AWS, Azure, or GCP environments.- Implement CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and continuous delivery.- Collaborate with DevOps teams to ensure smooth deployments, monitoring, and scaling.- Participate in all phases of the software development lifecyclefrom requirements analysis to deployment and maintenance.- Work in an Agile/Scrum environment, contributing to sprint planning, estimation, and retrospectives.- Collaborate closely with product managers, QA engineers, and designers to deliver high-quality features.- Conduct code reviews and mentor junior team members to uphold coding standards and best practices.- Write unit and integration tests using modern testing frameworks to ensure high-quality deliverables.- Ensure applications are secure, following best practices for authentication, authorization, and data protection.- Troubleshoot and debug production issues, ensuring system reliability and uptime.Required Skills & Qualifications : - 36 years of hands-on experience in fullstack development using the MEAN stack (MongoDB, Express.js, Angular, Node.js).- Strong proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript.- Working knowledge of jBPM (Java Business Process Management) or similar workflow automation tools.- Deep understanding of RESTful API design and integration principles.- Expertise with Angular 10+, including RxJS, Angular CLI, and component-driven architecture.- Strong database skills with MongoDBincluding performance tuning, indexing, and aggregation pipelines.- Familiarity with Git, GitFlow, and modern version control practices.- Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps).- Understanding of microservices, containerization (Docker), and orchestration (Kubernetes).- Experience working in Agile development environments with tools such as Jira and Confluence (ref:hirist.tech)
