Manager Lean @ Nashik plant- The ideal candidate is a BE (Industrial /Mechanical/ Production) with Lean Six Sigma certificate course and 7 - 10 years' experience. The candidate should be from engineering or manufacturing industries.- Qualification - Diploma (Mechanical) with 7-10 years of experience.Critical Skills and Competencies:1) Domain:- Broad & Comprehensive understanding of concepts and principles of Lean Management (VSM, PULL, TAKT, JIT, SMED, KAIZEN, 5S, 7 Tools - WHY-WHY etc., JIDOKA, ANDON, HEIJUNKA, SWI & WCT, TPM, VISUAL FACTORY, SIX SIGMA, 8D, PDCA, DMAIC, IIOT, SMART FACTORY etc).- In-depth understanding of how practices of lean Management get integrated with the larger business processes in a manufacturing plant.- Like all manufacturing set-ups, production process in UNI Abex too have multiple key parameters on control point, so standardization of these manual jobs needs in depth understanding and analysing capabilities.- Lean changes must be achieved through multiple layers in manufacturing, so communication plays vital role while implementation of lean tools & practices.- Drive the team towards the Lean concept, conduct cycle time studies, and identify opportunities for low-cost automation.2) Functional:- Business acumen- Eye for detail- Analytical skills- Change Management- Decision Making- Drive for results3) Behavioural:- Strategic thinker, with clear vision and direction of change management through Operational teams.- Strong facilitation and interpersonal relationship, communication, and presentation skill.- Good analytical and problem-solving skills; knowledge and ability to train on methodologies.- Proven ability to coach, mentor and energize team members.- Collaborative mindset, work closely with all levels.Areas of Experience Sought:1) To develop and administer Lean Management practice in the plant (Area of Impact):- Coaching and training of manufacturing teams of various lean tools.- Lead workshops resulting ideas for tangible improvement of key performance indicator.- Work with shop floor workmen, team leaders & management team to deploy the appropriate performance metrics & management routines for operational KPIs like safety, quality, delivery, cost & people development.- Work closely with the team, to identify the new improvement opportunities.- Contribute to strategic capital expenditure planning for lean implementation.- Communicate, sustain, and facilitate the implementation of lean thinking and principles. Act as a change agent (leader) to instil a Problem Solving and Continuous Improvement culture in operation and in related areas of the organization.- Conduct Audit to ensure that tools are appropriately and effectively used.2) To be able to develop and maintain the site's lean implementation plan based on the business strategy:- Develop, manage, and report progress of lean deployment plan required to support operational need in line with group business strategy.- Support plant management in its strategic planning process and its implementation by taking ownership of the relevant projects.3) Contribute To Projects:- Ensure lean principles are appropriately taken into consideration at all stages of the process improvement project.- Directly manage some key projects for the site.4) Campaign Management:- 5S- Kaizen- SGA5) Supervision:- General Supervision - Supervision of activities related to the that of the position in question (overseeing work).- Administrative Supervision - Supervision of all administrative activities related to that of the position in question.- Policy Guidelines - Have to provide inputs to the management on policy issues pertaining to position / division / function.Leadership - The candidate will need to show leadership ability to drive transformational cultural change to enable the business to deliver operational efficiency.
