Platform Architect- Java

Shell Recharge Solutions is seeking a Platform ArchitectShell Recharge Solutions is looking for a Platform Architect to join our engineering teamin leading and owning the platform design for a distributed multi-technology platform.This platform is central to an eMobility ecosystem that consists of massive worldwidecloud infrastructure, Electric Vehicle Chargers (L2 and DCFC), Battery Energy Storagesystems, integration with Energy Utilities, Renewable Energy, and thehardware/software to facilitate administration, predictive management, andcommunication between sites and facilities.What you’ll do:• You will help raise the technical bar across the worldwide organization, drive adata and results driven culture, and help nurture a high performance, world-class Product and Technology team.• You will work cross functionally across all Shell Group companies, to design andarchitect a next-generation worldwide eMobility technology platform.• Provide technical leadership for the architecture and design of secure,distributed, scalable, and resilient components, frameworks, andmicroservices.• Conduct component and system-level design reviews.• Mentor and grow the design acumen for a team of globally distributed, talented,diverse software engineers.What We’re Looking For:Basic Qualifications• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/ Engineering or equivalent experiencerequired.• 15+ years of experience designing and shipping cloud services products.• 15+ years of experience driving and managing technical and architecturaldependencies.• 10+ years of experience with distributed systems delivering large-scale, secure,and resilient cloud services.• A firm understanding of system architecture, cloud computing, PaaS/SaaSdesign principles, micro services, and containers. AWS, Docker,Kubernetes experience strongly preferred.• Proven system level design contribution to a current “Live” (in production / underdaily high load) multi-region SaaS or PaaS offering.• Experience with at least one Big Data analytic technology (Hadoop, Kafka, Spark,SQL, or equivalent).• Interface design with proficiency in object-oriented programming languages andframeworks.• Passion for and ability to quickly understand emerging technologies.• Strong communication and collaboration skills.• Experience with DevOps/SRE models and a scrum/agile methodology.• Mastery of software requirements, architecture, and documentation.• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to solveproblems and think outside of the box.• Apply proven software design patterns to ensure maintainability, scalability, andperformance.• Solve complex technical challenges with a strong focus on analyticalthinking, root cause analysis, and data-driven decision-making.Required Skills & Experience:-We are looking for candidates with strong hands-on experience in Java, including related technologies such as Microservices, Spring, and Spring Boot.
