Senior Flutter Developer – Cross-Platform (MedTech & Real-Time High-Fidelity Projects)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced Flutter Developer with a strong background in mobile application development and a deep understanding of Software as a Medical Device (SaMD). The ideal candidate will play a critical role in designing and developing next-generation, high-fidelity mobile applications for both Android and iOS within a regulated MedTech environment.

This role requires expertise in Flutter and Dart to build secure, scalable, and high-performance applications that adhere to industry standards and compliance requirements. The selected candidate will contribute to the architectural decisions, implementation of advanced features, and performance optimization of mobile solutions, ultimately enhancing patient care and clinical outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:


•Architect & Develop MedTech Apps: Design, build, and maintain cross-platform mobile applications using Flutter (Dart), ensuring compliance with medical standards and best practices.


•Real-Time & High-Fidelity Features: Implement advanced functionalities such as WebSockets, Push Notifications, and Background Services to enable low-latency data exchange essential for medical solutions.


•BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy) Expertise: Develop and integrate BLE-based features for medical device connectivity—monitor and manage data exchange between devices to ensure seamless and secure communication.


•Optimized Performance & UI/UX: Profile and optimize applications for responsiveness, memory usage, and battery efficiency, while delivering intuitive, visually appealing interfaces that meet healthcare usability standards.


•Software as a Medical Device (SaMD): Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including backend developers and medical experts, to deliver robust, compliant, and patient-centric solutions.


•Secure Integrations & Data Handling: Utilize Firebase, REST APIs, GraphQL, and secure data handling measures (encryption, authentication) to protect patient data and comply with HIPAA or other relevant regulations.


•Advanced Flutter & Native Code: Extend Flutter's capabilities through platform-specific code in Swift/Kotlin/Java, integrating complex animations, sensor data (Bluetooth, BLE), and custom UI widgets.


•Testing & Debugging: Write comprehensive unit, integration, and performance tests, leveraging tools like Flutter Test and CI pipelines to ensure zero-defect releases in a regulated environment.


•Agile Collaboration & CI/CD: Work in an Agile setting, participating in sprint planning and code reviews, while integrating CI/CD pipelines for automated builds, testing, and deployment.

Requirements:


•Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.


•3 to 5+ years of proven experience in Flutter development for Android and iOS.


•Strong proficiency in Dart, Flutter widgets, and state management (e.g., Provider, Bloc, Redux).


•Must-have experience in Bluetooth and BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy) integration.


•Experience with platform-specific development (Kotlin/Swift) for deeper native integrations.


•Familiarity with Firebase, REST APIs, GraphQL, and real-time communication protocols.


•Excellent understanding of mobile app architecture (MVC, MVVM, Clean Architecture).


•Proficiency in Git, CI/CD pipelines, and automated deployment processes.


•Strong debugging, profiling, and testing skills with tools like Flutter Test, integrating unit and UI tests.


•Demonstrated ability to optimize animations, transitions, and overall performance for large-scale applications.


•Knowledge of security best practices, data encryption, and secure user authentication—particularly in regulated environments (MedTech experience is a plus).Preferred Qualifications:


•Exposure to AI/ML models in mobile applications for diagnostics or patient monitoring.


•Experience with Flutter Web and Desktop for unified, cross-platform solutions.


•Understanding of AR/VR development in Flutter for immersive healthcare applications.


•Published apps on Google Play and Apple App Stores showcasing advanced UI/UX and performance optimizations.
