About SneloSnelo is a stealth consumer tech startup based in Bangalore, building a real-world, high-speed, on-demand platform designed to make instant convenience accessible to millions.We’re in the MVP phase, assembling a founding engineering team that thrives on ownership, creativity, and execution velocity - building a product from zero to launch entirely in-house.If you’re a backend engineer with DevOps expertise who can architect and maintain real-time systems, handle deployments, tracking logic, and ensure reliability at scale, this is your chance to join early, move fast, and own the core infrastructure behind Snelo.Role: Founding Backend & DevOps EngineerAs Snelo’s Founding Backend & DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and building scalable backend systems while also setting up the infrastructure and automation needed to keep everything running smoothly. You will collaborate with the mobile and product teams to ensure real-time performance, efficient releases, and operational reliability.Responsibilities• Design, develop, and maintain backend systems using Node.js, Express, and Firebase (Functions, Firestore, Auth).• Build and manage RESTful and WebSocket APIs for real-time communication, order lifecycle handling, and personnel tracking.• Implement time-based logic for reporting, shift tracking, and task management.• Design robust data models that support real-time and historical reporting.• Manage backend infrastructure including deployment, scaling, and monitoring using Firebase, Railway, or GCP.• Set up CI/CD pipelines for mobile and backend teams using GitHub Actions, Fastlane, or similar tools.• Automate deployment processes for faster iteration and minimal downtime.• Implement observability and alerting using tools like Firebase Monitoring, Sentry, or Grafana.• Ensure security, uptime, and performance optimization across environments.• Collaborate closely with frontend and mobile engineers for API design and integration.• Maintain documentation and testing discipline for production stability.Requirements• 2–5 years of experience in backend development using Node.js, Express, or Firebase Functions.• Strong understanding of DevOps principles, CI/CD automation, and cloud infrastructure management.• Proficiency in JavaScript or TypeScript.• Experience with Firebase (Auth, Firestore, Functions, Hosting) or similar BaaS platforms.• Familiarity with containerization and deployment tools like Docker, Railway, Vercel, or AWS/GCP Cloud Run.• Experience setting up build pipelines and automated testing workflows.• Knowledge of real-time data systems such as Firestore listeners, WebSockets, or socket.io.• Understanding of authentication, caching, and performance optimization.• Hands-on experience with monitoring, logging, and alerting tools.• Must be based in Bangalore and open to working on-site.Bonus Skills• Experience working in fast-paced startup or MVP environments.• Knowledge of microservices and event-driven architecture.• Familiarity with maps, geolocation, and tracking-based data models.• Exposure to analytics tools such as Firebase Analytics, Mixpanel, or Datadog.Why Join Snelo• Join early and help define the product and technical foundation from the ground up.• Own backend systems and infrastructure that directly power live operations.• Work closely with founders in a fast, execution-focused environment.• Build scalable, real-time systems that drive real-world impact.Apply NowApply Now using this form:https://forms.gle/jfDE98XSPM2ECZAF9orhttps://lnkd.in/gxG88Cr2Mail to: [hello@snelo.com]
