Job Summary:We are seeking a highly experienced and dynamic Manufacturing Finance partner who will be responsible for overseeing and managing automotive manufacturing business and acts as a key strategic advisor and financial expert, collaborating closely with business units to drive profitable growth, optimize costs, and enhance financial performance. This role bridges the gap between finance and operations, ensuring alignment of business goals with financial planning and controls.Key Responsibilities:Financial Planning and Budgeting:- Develop and manage the manufacturing budget in collaboration with plant managers and operations teams.- Forecast production costs, working capital needs, and cash flows related to manufacturing activities.- Ensure budget adherence and recommend corrective actions when variances occur.- Lead the financial feasibility study, cost-benefit analysis, and risk assessment for the project, providing data-driven recommendations to senior management.Cost Analysis and Control:- Analyze manufacturing costs including labor, materials, overhead, and indirect costs.- Identify cost-saving opportunities and efficiency improvements in the production process.- Monitor standard costing, variance analysis, and contribute to setting cost standards.Reporting and Compliance:- Prepare and present regular financial reports related to manufacturing performance to senior management.- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and regulatory requirements.- Coordinate internal and external audits focused on manufacturing finance.Performance Measurement:- Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) for manufacturing financial performance - Track and report on these KPIs, identifying trends and recommending improvements.Cross-functional Collaboration:- Work closely with operations, supply chain, procurement, and engineering teams to align financial and operational objectives.- Support capital expenditure planning and evaluate investments in machinery, technology upgrades, and process improvements.Risk Management:- Assess financial risks related to manufacturing operations and propose mitigation strategies.- Monitor inventory levels and valuation to minimize obsolescence and excess stock.System and Process Improvement:- Implement and maintain manufacturing finance systems, tools, and processes for accuracy and efficiency.- Lead initiatives to automate financial reporting or integrate production and finance data Professional qualification- Chartered Accountant with Minimum 8 years of Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in finance roles, with at least 2 years specifically in manufacturing Plant- Proven experience in the automotive or manufacturing sector (2-wheeler experience is a significant plus).- Demonstrated expertise in financial modeling, project finance, budgeting, and cost control.- Experience in managing multiple internal/ external stakeholders., Skills:- Strong analytical and financial modeling skills.- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex financial information to non-finance professionals.- Proven leadership and team collaboration abilities.- Strategic thinking and problem-solving capabilities.- High proficiency in financial software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle etc).- Advanced Excel skills are mandatory.- Ability to work independently and under pressure in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.- High level of integrity and ethical conduct.
