We're revolutionizing how customers access and experience professional services through our innovative technology platform.We are looking for a leader into our Fulfillment team to own and drive the vision to build next generation fulfillment platform to achieve our mission.About the Opportunity:Value Added Services (VAS) team (Also popularly known as Amazon Home Services (AHS) in Hyderabad, India is building a WW Services platform which enables Amazon to seamlessly integrate professional services (including home improvement, installation, maintenance, and lifestyle services) with product purchases. We're building a first-of-its-kind ecosystem that connects qualified service professionals with customers while maintaining the highest standards of trust, safety, and customer satisfaction.Ideal Background:Proven track record of leading complex technical initiatives and engineering teams Deep expertise in distributed systems, cloud architecture, and scalable platforms Experience with marketplace, fulfillment, or on-demand service platforms Good business acumen and ability to translate strategic goals into technical solutions Excellence in stakeholder management and executive communication Passion for building customer-centric solutionsImpact:You'll be at the forefront of transforming how services are discovered, purchased, and fulfilled in the digital age, while building technology that sets new industry standards for trust, safety, and customer experience.This role offers the opportunity to:Shape the future of digital services commerce Lead breakthrough innovation in a rapidly growing market Build systems that impact millions of customers and service professionals Work with innovative technologies at global scale Develop the next generation of technical leadersKey Responsibilities:• Build and lead a team of talented engineers while fostering a culture of technical excellence • Drive the technical vision, architecture, and roadmap for our fulfillment execution systems • Collaborate across business and engineering teams to design and implement scalable solutions • Establish engineering best practices and development standards • Balance technical trade-offs between scalability, performance, and user experience • Provide technical mentorship and guide architectural decisions • Manage team priorities, goals, and stakeholder relationshipsWhat You'll Do: • Architect and develop robust, scalable systems that power our service marketplace • Lead technical design reviews and provide strategic guidance on system integration • Define and implement technical strategies that align with business objectives • Foster engineering excellence through mentorship and knowledge sharing • Drive operational excellence through effective devops processes BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: - 7+ years of engineering experience - 3+ years of engineering team management experience - 8+ years of leading the definition and development of multi tier web services experience - Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and livesite operations - Experience partnering with product or program management teams - Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science or a related technical field PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: - Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and senior leadership to collect requirements, describe software product features, technical designs, and product strategy - Seasoned leader adept at building, mentoring, and managing high-performing software engineering teams to drive product innovation and technical excellenceOur inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers.
