Position Summary :

PGAGI is looking for a highly skilled Backend Engineer with strong Python expertise to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will have 35 years of experience designing and developing scalable, high-performance backend systems for enterprise applications. Youll play a key role in shaping our system architecture, building robust APIs, and collaborating across teams to deliver impactful solutions.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Python (Django, FastAPI, or Flask)

- Build and maintain RESTful and GraphQL APIs

- Manage and optimize relational and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB)

- Implement secure, efficient, and reusable code and ensure best practices in software engineering

- Collaborate closely with frontend engineers, DevOps, and product teams

- Integrate with cloud services (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and third-party APIs

- Work with Docker and Kubernetes for containerization and deployment

- Implement caching, queuing, and background task processing (Redis, RabbitMQ, Kafka)

- Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and performance monitoring

- Write unit and integration tests to ensure software quality

- Support CI/CD pipelines and contribute to infrastructure improvements

Required Qualifications :

- 3 to 5 years of professional backend development experience

- Advanced proficiency in Python and one or more frameworks : Django, FastAPI, Flask

- Solid understanding of relational and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB)

- Experience with API design and development (REST and/or GraphQL)

- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)

- Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and container orchestration

- Knowledge of message brokers (Redis, RabbitMQ, Kafka)

- Proficient in Git and collaborative version control workflows

- Experience working in microservices and distributed systems

- Understanding of CI/CD processes and DevOps practices

Preferred Qualifications :

- Familiarity with caching strategies (Redis, Memcached)

- Background in Agile/Scrum methodologies

- Exposure to monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK)

- Contributions to open source or personal backend projects.
