Job Description
Team Lead Corporate Accounting primary responsibility will be to oversee the performance for Mumbai team and making sure all agreed SLAs are met. Addition to that Assisting team in production Structured Finance team in the ownership and management of ongoing client company service requirements within the company business. This role will support the Irish team in the preparation of management accounts Financial Statements and ensuring tax compliance by these companies within their respective local regulator regimes. This role will involve ensuring the integrity and regulatory compliance of the financial statements produced across the managed funds ensuring the managed funds financial statements adhere to relevant accounting standards and more broadly ensuring the financial reporting process is being completed on a timely basis.
Key Accountabilities and main responsibilities
- Ensure all internal and external service levels and regulatory deadlines are met within the Fund Accounting team
- Plan and organise and complete tasks to ensure deliverables are met including adherence to monthly and quarterly reporting deadlines.
- Assisting in the completion of the year end audit and other client requirements.
- Work within a team to ensure:
- Delivery of accurate monthly/quarterly/annual cash management management and statutory financial information to clients and auditors
- Provision of financial information to clients and customers.
- Corporation tax VAT and Central Bank returns adhere to strict filing deadlines.
- Liaise with payroll department to run payroll and associated payroll reports for all clients and ensure tax returns adhere to strict filing deadlines
- Assume responsibility and accountability for tasks as allocated.
- Implementing improvements in the accounting process to ensure it is robust controlled and efficient.
- Build and maintain excellent relationships with all key internal stakeholders
- Adhere to internal procedures to meet professional standards ensuring all learnings are completed on time and propose changes that can improve service delivery and quality
- Assist in adhoc and project requirements as required by the managers.
- Escalation of any issues as they arise.
- Preparation/Review of board meeting packs
- Contribute to the delivery of the responsibilities of the team and work within a team including the training and supervision of junior team members
- Assist with the design and implementation of internal operating procedures & controls ensure ongoing adherence to policies and coordinate with other internal teams to ensure successful financial reporting oversight of Funds and SPVs.
Candidate profile:
- Min 5 to 6 yrs experience with 2 to 3 yrs of people management experience.
- Knowledge in Indian accounting exp (general accounting) journal entries P&L balance sheet financial statement preparation..review advance tax.
