Role Overview :

We are looking for a talented AWS Data Engineer to join our team.

As an AWS Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining data pipelines and infrastructure on the AWS platform.

Your expertise in AWS services and data engineering will be critical in building scalable, efficient, and reliable solutions to support our data processing and analytics needs.

Key Responsibilities :

AWS Infrastructure : Design, deploy, and manage data infrastructure on AWS, leveraging services such as Amazon S3, Amazon Redshift, Amazon RDS, Amazon EMR, and others to build robust data pipelines and storage solutions.

Data Engineering : Develop and maintain data pipelines for ingesting, processing, and transforming large volumes of data from various sources, ensuring data quality, reliability, and scalability.

Streamsets : Utilize Streamsets or similar data ingestion and integration tools to streamline the process of collecting and moving data across different systems and platforms.

Data Modeling : Work closely with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and implement appropriate data models and schemas for efficient data storage and retrieval.

Performance Optimization : Identify and implement optimizations to improve the performance and efficiency of data processing workflows, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of insights to end-users.

Monitoring and Maintenance : Implement monitoring and alerting solutions to proactively identify and address issues in the data pipeline, ensuring high availability and reliability of data infrastructure.

Documentation and Best Practices : Document data engineering processes, workflows, and best practices, and provide guidance and support to other team members on data engineering-related tasks.

Mandatory Skills :

AWS : Strong expertise in AWS services, including but not limited to Amazon S3, Amazon Redshift, Amazon RDS, Amazon EMR, AWS Glue, AWS Lambda, and AWS Data Pipeline.

Data Engineering : Solid understanding of data engineering principles and best practices, including data ingestion, transformation, storage, and retrieval.

Streamsets : Experience with Streamsets or similar data ingestion and integration tools for building and managing data pipelines.

Qualifications :

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

- Proven experience as a Data Engineer, preferably with a focus on AWS data solutions.

- Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, Java, or Scala.

- Familiarity with SQL and database technologies (e.g. PostgreSQL, MySQL, or NoSQL databases).

- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and optimize data workflows.

- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with cross-functional teams.
