Role : Senior SAP Finance & Control (FICO) Consultant - Mumbai

Role Overview :

We are seeking a highly experienced and results-driven Senior SAP FICO Consultant to join our team in Mumbai. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10-12 years of hands-on experience in SAP FICO implementation, support, and S/4HANA migration projects. This role requires a deep understanding of financial processes, excellent communication skills, and the ability to lead and mentor junior consultants.

Key Responsibilities :

- Implementation & Configuration : Lead and participate in end-to-end SAP FICO implementation projects, including blueprinting, configuration, testing, and go-live support.

- Business Process Analysis : Analyze and understand complex financial business requirements and translate them into effective SAP solutions.

- Module Expertise : Demonstrate strong expertise in core SAP FICO modules, including General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Asset Accounting (AA), and Controlling (CO). This includes product costing, profitability analysis (CO-PA), and internal orders.

- S/4HANA Transformation : Act as a key resource in S/4HANA migration and implementation projects, leveraging functionalities like the Universal Journal and new asset accounting.

- Solution Design : Design and document detailed functional specifications for custom developments (e.g., reports, enhancements, interfaces, forms) and collaborate with the technical team (ABAP) to ensure successful delivery.

- Project Leadership : Lead and manage project teams, ensuring deliverables are met on time and within scope. Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members.

- Stakeholder Management : Effectively communicate with business stakeholders at all levels to manage expectations and ensure project alignment with business goals.

- Testing & Training : Develop test scripts, perform system and user acceptance testing, and provide comprehensive training to end-users.

- Support & Enhancement : Provide post-go-live support and work on continuous improvement initiatives and system enhancements.

Required Qualifications & Experience :

- Experience : A minimum of 10-12 years of professional experience as an SAP FICO Consultant.

- Core Skills : Proven track record in at least 4-5 full lifecycle SAP FICO implementations, from project preparation to go-live and support.

- SAP S/4HANA : Significant experience with SAP S/4HANA Finance is mandatory.

- Domain Knowledge : In-depth understanding of accounting and financial principles (e.g., US GAAP, IFRS).

- Technical Acumen : Ability to debug and understand ABAP code is a plus.

- Experience with integration points with other SAP modules (e.g., SD, MM, PP) is essential.

- Communication : Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

- Problem-Solving : Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

- Location : Willingness to work from our Mumbai office.

Preferred Qualifications :

- SAP FICO or S/4HANA certification.

- Experience in the manufacturing, retail, or a similar industry.

- Experience with other finance-related modules like BPC, Treasury, or FSCM.

- A Masters degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
