Accessibility Engineer

Description : We are seeking an Accessibility Engineer to play an important role within our enterprise UX team, This is to deliver inclusive digital experiences that empower all customers to confidently access and manage their financial lives. This role will design, test, and advocate for accessible solutions across our digital platforms.Primary Responsibilities : - Contribute to the creation and design of Accessible Technical Requirements for mobile software- Validate quality of implementation of Accessible code- Provide remediation and fixes for defects discovered in validation- Participate in agile ceremonies to help guide and inform development- Work directly with mobile engineers to create Accessible code and softwareRequired Qualifications : - 5+ years or equivalent experience with Accessibility Testing or Accessible coding- Mobile Software Development Experience (Android/iOS)- Solid Understanding of Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG)- Working knowledge of Axe semi-automated tools or equivalents- Strong communication written and verbal skills, particularly when describing technical information- Desire to solve complex problems, not just detect themDesired Qualifications : - Experience conducting validations or audits for accessibility- International Association of Accessibility Professionals (IAAP) Certification or equivalent experience- Experience working with agile teams (ref:hirist.tech)
