You will work at the intersection of mechanical systems, electronics integration, and real-world environmental constraints (dust, wind, temperature).Key ResponsibilitiesDesign mechanical systems and assemblies using CAD software Develop mechanisms for drive systems, brush assemblies, linkages, and enclosuresPerform DFMEA, material selection, weight optimization, and stress analysisCollaborate with electronics and controls team for system integration (motors, sensors, PCBs)Prepare detailed manufacturing drawings, BOMs, and documentationManage prototyping, field testing, and iteration based on real-world feedbackWork with vendors for CNC, sheet metal, and machining component fabricationEnsure design reliability in outdoor, high-soiling, high-temperature environmentsQualificationsDesign Engineering, Machine Design, and Product Design skillsMechanical Engineering and Computer-Aided Design (CAD) proficiencyStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work collaboratively in a team environmentBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related fieldExperience in the renewable energy robotics is a plus
