Job Description :


We are looking for a skilled Database Administrator (DBA) to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing our geospatial and transactional databases, ensuring high performance, scalability, and availability.

Responsibilities :

1. Database Management :

- Administer and maintain PostgreSQL, PostGIS, and other relational and NoSQL databases.

- Manage MongoDB databases for scalable, high-performance data storage.

2. Performance Tuning :

- Monitor, optimize, and troubleshoot database performance, ensuring fast query response times and system reliability.

3. Backup & Recovery : Implement backup, recovery, and disaster recovery plans to ensure data integrity and availability.

4. Data Security : Manage database security, user access control, and compliance with internal and external regulations.

5. Collaboration : Work closely with development teams to design database schemas, manage data migrations, and implement data storage solutions.

6. Database Automation : Automate database maintenance tasks like backups, performance checks, and scaling.

7. Advanced Database Solutions : Work with sClientialized time-series and analytical databases like ClickHouse or TimescaleDB for large-scale data analysis and real-time insights.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- Experience : 3-5 years of experience in database administration with expertise in PostgreSQL, PostGIS, and MongoDB.

- SQL Expertise : Strong SQL query skills, including optimizing complex queries for performance.

- Backup & Disaster Recovery : Experience in designing and implementing robust backup and disaster recovery strategies.

- Database Security : Proficiency in managing database security and user access control.

- Performance Tuning : Solid experience in database performance tuning and troubleshooting.

Preferred Skills :

- Familiarity with NoSQL databases like MongoDB or Cassandra.

- Experience with cloud databases, sClientifically AWS RDS, Google Cloud SQL, or Azure SQL.

- Knowledge of containerized database deployment using Docker and Kubernetes.

- Experience with ClickHouse or TimescaleDB for managing large-scale, time-series, or analytical datasets.
