Main Purpose

Conduct of efficient, safe and smooth operations and utilization of aviation resources within purview of statutory bodies for all offshore Operations of RIL and function as DGCA nodal officer; plan and establish a heliport for class-1 helicopter operations meeting DGCA and statutory requirements with government approvals; Organize and manage the human resources to optimize maximum SoWs. Plan, project budgetary requirements; Plan short- and long-term strategies and execute cost-effective helicopter operations within the budgetary allocations and time frame vis-à-vis requirements.


Job Accountabilities (duties and responsibilities).


  • Patronage of air operations: Monitor, oversee and advise operations coordinators for effective planning and execution; Plan and execute special / non-scheduled commitments.
  • Monitor the maintenance schedules as per manufacturer’s recommendations vis-à- vis chopper requirements.
  • Advise and implement a safe and quality maintenance practice
  • Monitor timely procurement of spare parts to ensure that the machine is pivot grounded for this reason.
  • Envisage for forthcoming helicopter requirements and plan / project the budgetary requirements. Maintain a fine coherence with the budget allocations with respect to chopper funds release and subsequent utilization of budget.
  • Prepare daily schedule daily flight report, and monthly report for helicopter utilization; Passenger details report (to and fro); Monthly cargo reports
  • Coordinate with Materials Manager, Rig Coordinator, all service company coordinators engaged in drilling operations; cargo movement and sortie requirement Plan
  • Coordinate with AAI, Local airport authority, DGCA, contractors, helicopter operators for safe and smooth operation of helicopter


Skills Required (Knowledge and Skills)

  1. Planning, scheduling and execution of Helicopter operations
  2. Ensure uninterrupted helicopter service to meet any emergency or operational requirements
  3. Control over operations and proper documentations
  4. Safety and security of helicopter and passengers


Experience:

• Specific Exp: Min 15 years in Aviation field. Preferably Ex-serviceman.

• Overall Exp: 20 Years


Qualification:


1. Should have holder of Pilot/ Licensed AME or an Engineering graduate with working experience in Helicopter Operational environment. (Ex-serviceman will be preferred).

2. Diploma or administration in General Management
