Senior Cloud security engineer WFH. This is fully remote working opportunity.

Responsibilities :

- Design, implement, and manage security controls and solutions within our AWS environment.

- Develop and maintain security policies, standards, and procedures for cloud infrastructure and applications.

- Automate security tasks and processes using scripting and Infrastructure-as-Code tools.

- Implement and manage AWS security services such as Security Hub, GuardDuty, Inspector, Config, and Trusted Advisor.

- Configure and manage AWS networking security, including Transit Gateways, VPCs, Security Groups, and Network ACLs.

- Implement and maintain secure CI/CD pipelines, integrating security checks and controls.

- Conduct security assessments and vulnerability scanning of cloud resources and applications.

- Respond to security incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement remediation measures.

- Collaborate with development, operations, and infrastructure teams to integrate security into the development lifecycle.

- Implement and manage identity and access management (IAM) policies and controls in AWS.

- Ensure compliance with relevant security frameworks and regulations.

- Monitor cloud environments for security threats and anomalies.

- Participate in the evaluation and selection of new security tools and technologies.

- Develop and maintain documentation for security configurations and procedures.

- Stay up-to-date with the latest cloud security trends, threats, and best practices.

- Participate in security audits and compliance activities.

Qualifications :

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field. Equivalent practical experience will also be considered.

- Minimum of 4 years of experience in a security engineering role with a significant focus on cloud security.

- Proven experience supporting multi-application release infrastructures.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote team environment. -

- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

- Strong understanding of security best practices and principles.

Mandatory Skills :

- AWS Architecture & Deployment : Strong architecture and deployment experience with various AWS services including SES, SNS, SQS, Directory Services, ELB, ASG, ACM, Systems Manager, S3, Glacier, EBS, Lambda, Route53, CloudFront, and AWS Backup.

- AWS Networking : Hands-on experience with AWS networking concepts and services such as Transit Gateways, TG Peering, VPC Peering, Direct Connect, Site-to-Site VPN, AWS VPN, and Prefix Lists.

- AWS Security Tooling : Practical experience automating and working with AWS security tooling including Security Hub, GuardDuty, Inspector, Config, and Trusted Advisor.

- Automation & Scripting : Ability to continuously build and test code using scripting or programming languages. Proficiency in at least one of the following languages: Python, Go, Java, or C++.

- Deployment Automation & Configuration Management : Familiarity with deployment automation, configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Chef, Puppet).

- Monitoring & Disaster Recovery : Familiarity with monitoring tools and disaster recovery principles in a cloud environment.

- Containerization : Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes.

- Linux Shell : Hands-on experience working with the Linux command-line interface.

- CI/CD : Familiarity with CI/CD tools and workflows (e.g., Jenkins, Argo, Git).

- Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) : Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.

Preferred Skills :

- Solid understanding of security best practices in public clouds beyond AWS (e.g., Azure, GCP).

- High-level knowledge of Active Directory and identity management concepts.

- Strong understanding of OWASP best practices and secure software development principles.

- Experience with security information and event management (SIEM) systems.

- Relevant security certifications such as AWS Certified Security - Specialty, CISSP, or Security+.

- Experience with serverless security.

- Knowledge of compliance frameworks such as SOC 2, PCI DSS, or HIPAA.
