Job Title: Java Backend Developer – AWS Cloud / API MigrationLocation: Gurgaon (Hybrid/On-site)Experience: 5+ YearsEmployment Type: Full-timeJob Overview:We are seeking a skilled Java Backend Developer with strong expertise in API development and migration within AWS Cloud environments. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience designing, building, and deploying scalable backend systems using Java, Spring Boot, and RESTful APIs. Experience with containerization and Kubernetes (K8s) is a strong plus.This role involves working on modernizing APIs and migrating them to AWS-based architectures while ensuring performance, security, and reliability.Key Responsibilities:- Design, develop, and maintain backend applications using Core Java and Spring Boot frameworks. - Lead and support API migration initiatives from legacy systems to modern cloud-based APIs on AWS. - Develop, test, and deploy RESTful APIs ensuring scalability, reliability, and high performance. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement backend architecture and integration strategies. - Build cloud-native solutions leveraging AWS services such as Lambda, API Gateway, ECS, S3, RDS, CloudWatch, and IAM. - Optimize application performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure adherence to coding and security best practices. - Participate in CI/CD pipeline setup, deployment automation, and infrastructure-as-code (IaC) initiatives. - Work in an Agile development environment with active involvement in sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives. - Ensure proper documentation and maintain technical excellence throughout project delivery.Required Skills & Qualifications:- 5+ years of hands-on experience in Java backend development. - Strong proficiency in Core Java, Spring Boot, and RESTful API development. - Proven experience in API migration and integration projects. - Solid understanding of AWS Cloud services – EC2, Lambda, API Gateway, ECS, S3, RDS, CloudFormation, etc. - Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes (K8s). - Strong knowledge of SQL/NoSQL databases and data modeling. - Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Git, and DevOps tools (Jenkins, Terraform, etc.). - Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills. - Strong communication and teamwork abilities.Good to Have:- Knowledge of microservices architecture. - Exposure to API Gateway, OAuth, and security standards. - Experience with serverless computing (AWS Lambda). - Familiarity with Agile/Scrum practices.Why Join Us:- Work on modern API modernization and migration projects using cutting-edge AWS technologies. - Collaborative and innovation-driven work environment. - Flexible hybrid work model. - Competitive salary and professional growth opportunities.
