Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced IBM Sterling Integrator Specialist with a strong focus on Maps to join our team. As a member of our B2B integration team, you will be responsible for implementing, managing, and maintaining integration solutions within the IBM Sterling platform. The ideal candidate will possess hands-on experience with Sterling Integrator's mapping functionality, which plays a crucial role in transforming data for communication between trading partners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) solutions using Sterling Integrator, focusing on creating and maintaining Maps.
- Develop and manage data transformation rules, using Maps to map different formats (e.g., EDI, XML, CSV) between trading partners.
- Troubleshoot, optimize, and maintain existing integration solutions in the Sterling Integrator platform.
- Create and update Map templates for integration with various ERP, CRM, and other enterprise applications.
- Implement data validation, error handling, and business rules using Maps.
- Collaborate with business analysts, developers, and clients to understand integration requirements and transform business logic into workable mapping solutions.
- Manage and monitor integrations to ensure seamless data flow between systems.
- Perform root-cause analysis for integration issues and provide solutions.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards such as X12, EDIFACT, and XML.
- Provide ongoing support for Sterling Integrator integration solutions, including documentation, upgrades, and enhancements.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong experience with IBM Sterling Integrator (formerly Sterling Commerce), especially in the area of Maps.
- Solid understanding of EDI and XML formats, including mapping from EDI to XML and vice versa.
- Expertise in the creation, modification, and debugging of Maps and Service Operations.
- Hands-on experience with Sterling Integrator's Business Process Management (BPM) for routing, transformation, and orchestration.
- Familiarity with Sterling File Gateway (SFG) and Sterling B2B Integrator (SBI).
- Proficiency in XSLT, XPath, and JavaScript for custom mapping and data transformations.
- Familiarity with various protocols and technologies such as FTP, SFTP, AS2, HTTPS, Web Services, and others.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and in teams.
- Knowledge of industry standards and best practices in B2B integration.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to interact with business users, technical teams, and external vendors.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience with IBM Sterling B2B Integrator Cloud is a plus.
- Certifications in IBM Sterling Integrator or related integration platforms.
- Previous experience in other EDI mapping tools (e.g., Seeburger, TIBCO) is a plus
