Job description (high level summary)
This role of Contracts Specialist will provide local support in India for all Source to Pay (Sourcing, Contract formulation to order creation) activities for ENGINE.
They will work very closely with the SCM Global Shared Services (GSS) team daily to ensure all Source to Pay activities are handled in a timely manner

Key responsibilities (day-to-day tasks, learning and development opportunities): Act as part of the SCM team responsible for all Source to Pay activities for GCC operations providing local market expertise in India and Bangalore. Works closely with the SCM GSS teams daily for all SP activities. Provides expertise in all phases of pre and post award contracting. This includes developing scopes of work, identifying contracting strategy, identifying viable/suitable potential product/service providers, supplier due diligence, bidding, supplier management, eProcurement tools expertise, bid evaluation, contractual correspondence, contract change management, claims mitigation, working closely with Legal and other SMEs to ensure compliance, contract execution, and contract management. Ensuring Chevron OE and HES requirements are communicated and well understood by contractors and suppliers to drive safety performance and Operational Excellence. Ensuring compliance to applicable policies and procedures in a fit for purpose, risk-based approach. Assisting Contract owners with the application of risk and decision analysis in the contracting process.
Required qualifications: + years of experience as a Contracting professional for large corporations Strong Business Acumen & Negotiation skills with a data-driven decision-making approach Very good written and verbal communication along with interpersonal skills Bachelors' degree.
