Job Title: Chief Financial Officer

 

Job Description:


Overview: We are seeking an experienced and strategic-minded Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead our organization's financial operations and drive our financial strategy. The CFO will play a key role in shaping the company's financial future, providing leadership and direction in all areas of financial management, including planning, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis.

Responsibilities:

1.    Financial Strategy and Planning:

·      Develop and execute the company's financial strategy in alignment with overall business objectives.

·      Lead financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes to optimize resource allocation and drive profitability.

·      Provide strategic recommendations to the CEO and board of directors based on financial analysis and insights.

2.    Financial Reporting and Analysis:

·      Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements, reports, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.

·      Conduct in-depth financial analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and risks, and provide actionable recommendations to management.

·      Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and financial best practices.

3.    Capital Management and Financing:

·      Manage the company's capital structure and liquidity, including debt and equity financing.

·      Evaluate investment opportunities, M&A transactions, and capital allocation decisions to maximize shareholder value.

·      Maintain relationships with banks, investors, and other financial institutions to secure funding and support growth initiatives.

4.    Risk Management:

·      Identify and assess financial risks, including market, credit, and operational risks, and develop strategies to mitigate them.

·      Implement robust internal controls and risk management processes to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulations.

·      Monitor and report on key financial metrics and performance indicators to track risk exposure and inform decision-making.

5.    Treasury and Cash Management:

·      Optimize cash flow management and liquidity by forecasting cash needs, managing working capital, and optimizing banking relationships.

·      Develop and implement cash management policies and procedures to ensure efficient use of funds and minimize financial risk.

·      Monitor and manage foreign exchange exposure and interest rate risk to mitigate potential losses.

6.    Financial Leadership and Team Management:

·      Provide strong leadership and mentorship to the finance team, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and accountability.

·      Recruit, develop, and retain top talent, ensuring that the finance team has the skills and resources needed to support the company's objectives.

·      Promote continuous learning and professional development within the finance function.


Qualifications:

1.    Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field; CA or MBA or CPA preferred.

2.    Proven track record of success in senior financial leadership roles, with at least 10 to 15 years of experience in progressively responsible positions.

3.    Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to translate financial data into actionable insights and recommendations.

4.    Deep understanding of financial principles, accounting standards, and financial reporting requirements.

5.    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.

6.    Demonstrated leadership ability, with a track record of building high-performing teams and driving organizational change.

7.    Experience in strategic financial planning, capital management, and risk management.

8.    High level of integrity, ethics, and professionalism, with a commitment to upholding the highest standards of financial integrity and corporate governance.
