Head of Finance & Compliance | High-Growth SaaS + Ops Startup | Noida (Hybrid)

Company Overview:

Our client is a rapidly scaling, VC-backed SaaS + operations-led startup headquartered in Noida, solving complex problems across technology, data, and services.

About the Role:

We're hiring a Head of Finance & Compliance to lead the finance function across strategic planning, FP&A, investor relations, accounting, compliance, and legal. This is a high-impact role reporting directly to the Chief of Staff and working closely with business heads and founders.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Finance

  • Lead long-term planning, capital allocation, and financial strategy.
  • Optimize unit economics and profitability across business units.
  • Own investor reporting, scenario planning, and due diligence readiness.

FP&A & Business Partnering

  • Build a modern FP&A function for rapid, data-driven decisions.
  • Work cross-functionally to influence top-line growth and cost efficiency.
  • Translate strategy into measurable financial models and forecasts.

Accounting & Reporting

  • Own financial reporting, audits, tax filings, and statutory compliance (India + international).
  • Ensure timely and accurate MIS, P&L, and cash flow statements.
  • Drive financial discipline and internal controls.

Legal & Compliance

  • Oversee commercial agreements, contracts, NDAs, and employment documents.
  • Ensure end-to-end legal and regulatory compliance with support from external counsel.
  • Build scalable processes and risk frameworks for growth.

Team & Culture

  • Lead and mentor the Finance & Legal team.
  • Collaborate with People & Culture teams on ESOPs, compensation, and compliance.
  • Foster a high-performance culture rooted in ownership and outcomes.

What We're Looking For

  • 15+ years of experience, with 8–10 years in a finance leadership role in fast-growing startups.
  • Chartered Accountant (CA) is a must.
  • Experience with P&L ownership, audits, investor reporting, and fundraising prep.
  • Background in SaaS + Ops models preferred.
  • Hybrid pedigree (Big 4 + startup) is ideal.
  • Strong financial modeling, systems thinking, and compliance know-how.
  • Thrives in fast-paced, ambiguous environments with a bias for scalable systems.
