Job Title : Lead Software Engineer Mainframe & Distributed Systems.Location : Hyderabad.Experience : 6+ Years.Employment Type : Description : We are seeking an experienced Lead Software Engineer with strong expertise in both Mainframe and Distributed Development.The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leading multiple Scrum teams, managing cross-location delivery, and handling large-scale account conversion projects.This role requires a mix of technical depth, leadership ability, and strong communication skills to work effectively with distributed teams and stakeholders.Key Responsibilities :Team Leadership & Delivery :- Manage and lead 24 Scrum teams across multiple locations.- Drive Agile ceremonies, ensure sprint commitments, and oversee overall project delivery.- Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and performance feedback to team & Distributed Development : - Work hands-on and guide teams in Mainframe (COBOL, JCL, VSAM, DB2) and Distributed systems (Java, APIs, JSON, Microservices, Cloud environments).- Ensure smooth integration between legacy mainframe systems and modern distributed platforms.- Define and review design, coding, and testing standards across both technology Conversion Projects : - Lead large-scale account conversion/migration initiatives from legacy systems to modern platforms.- Define data mapping strategies, handle large COBOL data structures, and ensure seamless integration with JSON-based APIs.- Partner with business stakeholders to minimize risks during & Cross-Location Management : - Manage team expectations across geographies and time zones.- Collaborate with product owners, business analysts, and senior leadership for smooth execution of programs.- Maintain clear communication and proactive risk Skills & Experience :6+ years of IT experience with a blend of Mainframe and Distributed application development.Strong hands-on knowledge of : - Mainframe : COBOL, JCL, DB2, VSAM.- Distributed Systems : Java, REST APIs, JSON, Microservices.- Proven track record of managing 2 - 4 Scrum teams for at least 35 years.- Experience working on large-scale Account Conversions/Migrations involving COBOL data structures and JSON integration.- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.- Ability to manage multi-location teams and drive consistent delivery standards.- Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and DevOps to Have :- Exposure to Cloud (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and modern data platforms.- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, Jenkins, Git, or similar tools.- Financial services / Banking domain experience (especially account migration/conversion Company Profile : At IntraEdge Inc, we believe in a growth mindset - we encourage our teams to not only excel in their domain but also to cross-train across technologies, take on new challenges, and expand into areas beyond their current scope.Many of our team members have grown into leadership roles by taking initiative and stepping outside their comfort zones.Founded in 2005, weve grown from a 5-member team to over 1800+ professionals, delivering T&M and fixed-scope solutions to Fortune clients across banking, telecom, healthcare, and education.In addition, we Run & Maintain environments for our clients.We also run niche ventures like The Academian (focused on education) and our in-house cybersecurity firm Truyo that allows our workforce to expand and extend knowledge into these domains.Our Benefits and Policies : Flexible work, Comprehensive benefits, and even parental insurance coverageand you have got an environment that nurtures both career and personal growth.
