It will help Pella scale smarter, move faster, and build internal expertise that lasts.Job Title: Technical Lead / IT Manager – API Platform & Integrations Overview: We are seeking aTechnical Lead / IT Managerto oversee the development and evolution of our enterprise-wideGraphQL API layer , which serves as the central integration platform connecting all enterprise systems and applications. This role combinestechnical leadershipwithpeople management , ensuring the team delivers scalable, secure, and high-performing integration solutions while fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented environment. You will partner with business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into clear solutions, guide technical strategy, and manage team performance and development.Key Responsibilities: Technical Leadership Own thearchitecture and roadmapfor the enterprise GraphQL API layer and related integration platforms. Providetechnical directionand ensure adherence to best practices for API design, security, and scalability. Collaborate with business stakeholders to deliverstraightforward solutions to complex integration needs . Drive continuous improvement inAPI platform engineering , developer experience, and integration patterns. Oversee implementation ofCI/CD pipelines , containerization strategies, and cloud deployments.People Leadership & HR Duties Manage a team of developers and QA engineers, includingperformance reviews, goal setting, and career development . Foster a culture ofcollaboration, accountability, and technical excellence . Handleresource planning, hiring, and onboardingfor the integration team. Providementorship and coaching , ensuring team members grow in technical and professional capabilities. Partner with HR onemployee engagement, retention strategies, and compliance .Strategic Responsibilities Align integration platform strategy withenterprise architecture and business objectives . Communicate technical concepts and trade-offs clearly toexecutive leadership and non-technical stakeholders . Influence decisions onAPI governance, security standards, and integration frameworksacross the organization.Required Skills & Qualifications: 7+ years of experiencein software development, with at least3+ years in a leadership or managerial role . Expert proficiency inJavaScript/TypeScript ,Node.js , andGraphQL . Strong experience withREST API design , authentication, and authorization mechanisms. Hands-on experience with relational databases ( MS SQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle DB ). Proficiency with Dockerand containerized deployments. Proficiency with event driven architecture(SNS/SQS, Kafka ) Familiarity withCI/CD pipelines , DevOps practices, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP). Proven ability tolead teams , manage priorities, and deliver results in complex enterprise environments. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.Preferred Qualifications: Experience withenterprise systems integration(CPQ, ERP, PLM, CRM). Knowledge ofAPI gateway technologiesandmicroservices architecture Exposure toobservability toolsand performance monitoring for API ecosystems.
