Strong knowledge in Indexing, Portioning, Performance Optimization etc.We are seeking a skilled PostgreSQL DBAwith deep expertise in PostgreSQLto design, optimize, and manage complex database systems, particularly with large-scale and time-series data workloads. The ideal candidate will have experience in performance tuning, high availability configurations, query optimization, and cloud database operations.Key Responsibilities: Design and manage PostgreSQL clusters (single and replica setups) Work withpartitioning and indexing strategiesfor large datasets Write and optimize complextime-based queriesand work withtime-series databases Configure and manageWAL buffers, checkpoint settings, andWAL retentionfor durability and recovery Implement databasefailover handling and recoverymechanisms during data transfers Conductquery tuning and performance analysisusing real-world metrics Managedatabase partitioningwithout relying on enterprise versions Work withcloud-based DB deployments(AWS RDS, GCP, Azure, etc.) Maintain and scale database indexing as data size grows beyond predefined thresholdsRequired Skills: Strong hands-on experience withPostgreSQL(including WAL, replication, clustering) Proficiency inDockerand containerized database environments Experience withtime-series databases(e.g., TimescaleDB or native Postgres) Deep understanding ofquery performance tuning techniques Familiarity withWAL (Write Ahead Log),checkpointing, andbuffer management Knowledge ofcloud-native DB servicesand backup/restore strategies Ability to handlehigh availability and failover scenarios
