We are seeking a skilled API Developer & Support Engineer with experience in API development and support within banking environments. The ideal candidate will have expertise in RDMS databases, SQL queries, API monitoring, certificate deployment, and incident management while ensuring seamless API uptime and performance.

Key Responsibilities :

- API Development & Support : Develop, maintain, and optimize banking APIs, ensuring 99.99% uptime.

- Database Management : Work with RDMS concepts, SQL queries, and ensure efficient database integrations.

- Splunk Monitoring : Execute and analyze Splunk queries to track API performance and diagnose system issues.

- Certificate Deployment : Manage and deploy certificates for secure API connectivity.

- Incident Management : Respond to bandwidth outages, system misconfigurations, and disasters effectively.

- Vendor & Stakeholder Collaboration : Communicate with vendors and stakeholders to improve API solutions.

- Data Analysis & Troubleshooting : Gather and analyze data to identify trends, diagnose complex customer-facing issues, and optimize API performance.

- Technology Innovation : Identify and recommend improvements in API technology, software updates, and product innovation strategies.

- CI/CD & Automation : Enhance automation processes, follow CI/CD best practices, and improve deployment efficiency.

- Disaster Recovery (DR) Participation : Engage in Bank API disaster recovery activities and ensure seamless recovery protocols.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- API development and support for banking applications (Avaloq experience is a plus).

- Strong knowledge of RDMS databases, SQL queries, and data handling best practices.

- Hands-on experience in running and analyzing Splunk queries.

- Proficiency in certificate deployment for API security and integration.

- Familiarity with mobile and web banking environments.

- Experience working with Jira, Confluence, Apigee, and Ping.

- Expertise in Microsoft Excel & PowerPoint for reporting and presentations.

Preferred Skills (Nice to Have) :

- Knowledge of Open Banking API specifications and products.

- Strong understanding of CI/CD fundamentals for seamless deployments.

- Experience automating manual processes to improve (ref:hirist.tech)
