Job Description:
Continental Hospitals is seeking an experienced Critical Care Consultant to join our esteemed team. We are looking for a highly skilled and compassionate individual with a strong background in critical care medicine to provide expert care to patients in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and other critical care settings.
Key Responsibilities:
Patient Care : Provide comprehensive critical care management to patients in the ICU, including those with life-threatening conditions, multi-organ failure, and complex medical needs.
Medical Supervision : Oversee the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of critically ill patients, ensuring timely and appropriate interventions.
Multidisciplinary Collaboration : Work closely with other specialists, surgeons, nursing staff, and hospital teams to ensure a holistic and coordinated approach to patient care.
Emergency Care : Lead the management of emergency cases and make crucial decisions regarding patient treatment plans.
Consultation and Supervision : Offer expert consultation on complex cases and provide guidance to junior doctors and medical staff.
Procedures : Perform critical care procedures such as endotracheal intubation, central line insertion, arterial line placement, etc.
Training & Development : Mentor and train junior medical staff and residents in critical care practices and procedures.
Patient and Family Communication : Communicate clearly with patients' families about the patient’s condition, treatment options, and prognosis.
Continuous Improvement : Stay updated with the latest advancements in critical care medicine and contribute to hospital protocols and care guidelines.
Qualifications:
MBBS with MD /DrNB/FNB
Experience : 3-6 years of post-qualification experience in critical care medicine, preferably in a multi-disciplinary hospital.
Skills : Strong clinical knowledge, decision-making abilities, and experience with ICU management and critical care procedures.
Certification : Fellowship in Critical Care Medicine or any additional certification would be an advantage.
Personal Traits : Excellent communication skills, leadership abilities, and a patient-centric approach.
