My Yoga Teacher :
MyYogaTeacher is a well funded Silicon Valley startup with 2 headquarters; one in California, USA and another in Bangalore, India. We have a great marketplace product for Yoga where we connect incredible yoga teachers in India with clients around the world (right now, mostly in the US), for online 1-on-1 Yoga sessions. These sessions transform our client's lives - getting them in great fitness, great health, and deep peace of mind.
Our office is fun There are dinner outings and drinks, we play pictionary, sports play outings after work hours and open pantry for snacks. We take all expense paid company trips to Goa, Ooty and Chikmagalur to celebrate the success of our work.
We have a team of 60 people across various functions - Engineering, QA, Marketing, Customer Support, Design, Operations and Executive Leadership. We hire extremely skilled, smart, trustworthy, kind, supportive, and caring people. You will be working in a stimulating environment.

The CEO is Jitendra Gupta, and this is his 3rd business. His previous venture (Punchh) was acquired for $500 Million in 2021. He has hand picked everyone on the team and we expect MyYogaTeacher to do 10x better.
Role : Product Designer
As a Product designer at my Yoga Teacher, you will have :
- A chance to define how our students and teachers use our platform.
- An opportunity to create an empathetic product experience via pragmatic storytelling, detailed flow mapping, interactive prototyping and product testing to create designs that are polished and easy to use.
- Communicating, ideating and pitching frequently in front of your peers across product, business, tech and growth marketing.
- Work closely with management, product managers, marketing, operations and development team to create engaging and user-centric experiences.
- We expect you to work with our design system to bring in fresh approaches, insights, frameworks and to be great at conveying what's best for the user to interact with a seamless product.
Your responsibilities include :
- Defining product specifications
- Creating digital assets and designing fully functional products.
To be successful in this role, you should have :
- An eye for detail
- Understand UI and UX needs of our users and be able to translate requirements into practical product features.
- Ultimately, you will help us build products that are easy to use and visually appealing to our students and teachers.
Responsibilities :
- You will work in a world class design team to own and drive product design and set the experience bar for our students and teachers
- You will be mapping requirements by continuous interaction with product managers
- You will be upholding the voice of the end-user and defending design choices
- You will create quick sketches, comprehensive wireframes, rich visuals, and interactive prototypes to deliver finished design deliverables
- You will maintain and enrich our user experience across both web and native app platforms by continuous benchmarking and iterations (even post-launch)
- You will translate quantitative and qualitative behavioral data and competitive analysis into design solutions
- You will offer multiple solutions to problems and make tradeoff recommendations
- You will drive design quality, usability and accessibility standards
- You will collaborate across teams to improve, maintain and optimize our interaction and visual design systems
Qualifications :
- 2+ years of professional experience with design and development of highly interactive products and digital interfaces such as websites, mobile web, and native apps.
- Sound proficiency in user-centered design processes and interaction design principles
- Excellent knowledge of web standards, native mobile design systems (iOS and Android), progressive improvements, dynamic content retrieval, and responsive/adaptive design techniques
- You have a portfolio that details strong interaction, thought process and visual design skills
Deep understanding of typography, layout and composition, information architecture, color theory, fluid grid systems, animation and transitions
- A tendency to think between the layers and drive your goals via motion rich interactions
- An ability to create detailed interconnected design flows while being able to imagine movement and co-relation between different components to create user delight
- Deep understanding of Figma and other design tools

- You have empathy for the end-user and can remove personal bias from design tasks
- You are equally split between form and function; creative and analytical thinking
- You are driven to be a part of amazing, high-quality work and nothing less excites you
- As a designer, you feel that you are about a lot more than your design tools
- You are exceptional at communicating your ideas and persuading people to believe in your vision and to work together towards it
- You are typically the one using a whiteboard in a meeting or discussion
