Within our Client HQ located in Chennai - We are currently looking for a Digital Modeller to work on a range of Automotive Vehicle projects for our Original Equipment Manufacturers within the Automotive Sector who’s predominant skillset will be Alias Modelling.


With a previous pedigree within Automotive Vehicle Design – applicants will be required to translate Sketches into reality within the 3D environment through Computer Aided Styling. A good background in Alias and Poly Modelling required, with a portfolio of previous design work to compliment any applicants Resume.



Role Responsibilities:


  • Create digital surface models, capturing design intent from Design Sketches, Concept
  • themes, and scan data.
  • Deliver production quality surfaces and ensures surfaces meet the company standards in quality and on time. Working in sync with engineering teams, understanding engineering constraints and working with them to deliver quality class A-surfaces
  • Deliver concept models based on sketches for Volume and Shape understanding
  • Creating surfaces from concept development stage to final release of Class A
  • Provide alternative proposals and capture design Intent creatively
  • Work closely with various teams to support workload planning / estimation and documentation of the project records through all phases of Research and bench marking
  • Participate and contribute in weekly design meetings and use effective escalation for any program related issues
  • Coordinate & work collaboratively with design and engineering teams of local and global
  • regions
  • Participating in design model and quality checks in order to rectify any identified issues
  • In order to produce high quality final surfaces.
  • Preparation of Graphics design based on the inputs and Production Color Materials & Finish knowledge
  • Good Knowledge of Commercial vehicle design style trends and bench marking


Experience and Software Requirements:


  • A good working knowledge of Alias (Class A + Concept and Polygon Modelling)
  • Skills within Vred
  • Photoshop (To produce Photo realistic Renderings)
  • A degree level education within Product design / Industrial Design / Transportation design or a similar relevant subject area
  • A minimum of 3 Years on job experience. This role is not suited to a fresher/graduate
  • A Portfolio / Online Folio to showcase your work will be required at the point of contact from our design team -please ensure you have a portfolio ready to submit at the first point of contact
