Job Description:

Role Overview: The Social Media Marketing Specialist will be responsible for developing and implementing SEO and social media strategies to increase online visibility and drive traffic to our and our client's websites. This role involves working closely with the marketing, content, and design teams to ensure our online content is optimized for search engines and social media platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

Search Engine Optimization (SEO):

1.  SEO Strategy Development:

oDevelop, implement, and manage our SEO strategy.

oDefine the most important SEO KPIs.

oWork with web developers and marketing teams to properly implement SEO best practices.

2.  On-Page and Off-Page Optimization:

oConduct keyword research and analysis to guide content teams.

oOptimize website content, landing pages, and paid search copy.

oPerform ongoing keyword discovery, expansion, and optimization.

3.  Technical SEO:

oConduct regular site audits to ensure best practices are being followed.

oIdentify and resolve issues impacting search engine crawlability and indexability.

oOptimize site structure, URL structure, and website speed.

4.  Content Creation and Optimization:

oCollaborate with content creators to produce SEO-friendly content.

oDevelop and implement link-building strategies.

oMonitor and analyze SEO statistics such as redirects, click rate, bounce rate, and other KPIs.

5.  Performance Analysis and Reporting:

oUse Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and other relevant tools to monitor site performance.

oPrepare and present regular reports on SEO performance.

oStay up to date with the latest SEO trends and algorithm changes.

Social Media Optimization (SMO):

1.  SMO Strategy Development:

oDevelop, implement, and manage our social media strategy.

oDefine the most important social media KPIs.

oWork with copywriters and designers to ensure content is informative and appealing.

2.  Content Creation and Management:

oCreate, curate, and manage published content (images, video, written) across various social media platforms.

oEnsure consistency in brand messaging and voice.

oSchedule and publish posts using social media management tools.

3.  Audience Engagement:

oEngage with followers and respond to comments and messages promptly.

oMonitor user engagement and suggest content optimization.

oFoster and grow our online community by actively interacting with followers and potential customers.

4.  Performance Analysis and Reporting:

oAnalyse social media campaigns with tracking systems to gather visitor data and determine efficacy and areas for social media campaign improvement.

oPrepare monthly reports on social media marketing efforts.

oMonitor SEO and user engagement and suggest content optimization.

5.  Collaboration:

oWork closely with marketing, content, and design teams to create compelling social media content.

oStay up to date with the latest social media best practices and technologies.

oCollaborate with industry professionals and influencers to create a strong network.

6.  Trend Monitoring:

oResearch and monitor the activity of company competitors.

oStay informed about the latest developments in the social media landscape and adapt strategies as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • +2, B.E/B.Sc. (IT) /B-Tech - Bachelor of Technology/MCA/ M.Sc. (IT).
  • Proven experience as an SEO and SMO Specialist or similar role.
  • Excellent knowledge of various social media platforms, best practices, and website analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush).
  • Understanding of ranking factors and search engine algorithms.
  • Experience with social media management tools.
  • Excellent multitasking skills.
  • Good time-management skills.
  • Great interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Formal SEO training or certification

  • Proficient in graphic design software (e.g., Adobe Photoshop).
