This position emphasizeshigh-impact research, innovation translation, global collaboration , andinstitutional research leadership , with minimal teaching load and extensive autonomy to pursue transformative ideas. Key Responsibilities 1. Research Leadership Leadoriginal, high-impact research projectsaligned with Woxsen’sMoonshot Themes : Cognitive AI & Human-AI Futures Quantum Finance & Future Economies Human Longevity & Biointelligence Sustainable Planetary Futures Creative Intelligence, Media & Cultural Futures Publish consistently intop-tier journals (Scopus Q1, ABDC-A*, FT50, Nature/Elsevier/Springer leading outlets) . Drive theresearch culture and capacity buildingacross the University through mentorship and collaboration. 2. Grant Development & Research Funding Serve asPrincipal Investigatoron large-scale, interdisciplinary projects. Attractnational and international research grantsfrom DST, DBT, ICSSR, EU Horizon, NSF, or corporate R&D partners. Collaborate with WRDO’s Grant Support Office to develop long-term research sustainability strategies. 3. Doctoral & Postdoctoral Mentorship Supervise and mentor PhD and postdoctoral scholars. Support the development ofresearch methodology, data analytics, and publication trainingfor early-career researchers. Participate indoctoral colloquia , research bootcamps, and academic writing programs. 4. Innovation & Knowledge Translation Translate research intopatents, prototypes, policy recommendations, or scalable solutions . Contribute to Woxsen’sInnovation HubandEntrepreneurship Centre (WE Hub)for technology transfer and commercialization. Publishwhite papers, thought leadership reports, or public policy insightsfor wider societal influence. 5. Global Collaboration & Representation Represent Woxsen ininternational research consortia , policy forums, and high-impact conferences. Establishjoint research programs and exchange initiativeswith leading global universities and think tanks. Support Woxsen’s visibility inTHE, QS, and ARWU Research Impact Rankings. Qualifications PhDfrom a globally recognized university in a relevant field. Minimum 15 yearsof academic/research experience post-PhD. Proven record ofhigh-impact publicationsin indexed and top-ranked journals. Demonstrated success infunded research projects, patents, or policy impact. Prior experience supervisingPhD/Postdoctoral scholars. Interdisciplinary orientation and evidence of thought leadership beyond academia (industry, public policy, or societal innovation) preferred. Competencies Visionary research thinking and interdisciplinary agility. Excellent academic writing and grant development expertise. Global collaboration, negotiation, and project leadership skills. Ethical research conduct, academic integrity, and mentoring ethos.
