**Job Description:**


We are seeking a skilled Data Security Specialist with expertise in implementing and maintaining data security solutions. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Varonis, Microsoft Data Loss Prevention (DLP), Insider Risk Management, Data Classification, and Retention Labeling. As a Data Security Specialist, you will play a critical role in safeguarding sensitive data and mitigating risks across both on-premises and cloud environments.


**Key Responsibilities:**


- Implement and manage Varonis solutions for data governance, access control, and auditing in both on-premises and cloud environments.

- Configure and administer Microsoft Data Loss Prevention (DLP) policies to prevent unauthorized disclosure of sensitive information.

- Utilize Microsoft Insider Risk Management tools to identify and mitigate insider threats and suspicious activities.

- Implement data classification policies and labels using Microsoft Data Classification capabilities to ensure proper handling and protection of sensitive data.

- Define and enforce data retention policies using Microsoft Retention Labeling to maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.

- Monitor and analyze data security incidents, investigate security breaches, and take appropriate remediation actions.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, Legal, Compliance, and Business Units, to develop and enforce data security policies and procedures.

- Stay informed about emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and best practices in data security, and recommend enhancements to security controls and procedures.


**Required Skills and Qualifications:**


- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

- 4+ years of experience in Data Security, with a focus on Varonis and Microsoft security solutions.

- Proficiency in deploying and managing Varonis solutions in both on-premises and cloud environments.

- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Data Loss Prevention (DLP), Insider Risk Management, Data Classification, and Retention Labeling.

- Strong understanding of data security principles, standards, and best practices.

- Experience with data governance, access control, and auditing mechanisms.

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess risks and develop effective mitigation strategies.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.

- Relevant certifications such as Varonis Certified Administrator (VCA), Microsoft Certified: Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals, or similar certifications are a plus.


**Preferred Qualifications:**


- Experience working in regulated industries such as healthcare, finance, or government, with knowledge of industry-specific compliance requirements (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR, PCI DSS).

- Familiarity with other data security technologies and tools, such as Data Loss Prevention (DLP) solutions from other vendors.

- Experience with cloud security concepts and technologies (e.g., Azure, AWS, GCP).

- Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell) for automation and customization of security solutions.
