About the Role

We are looking for an SEO Expert with hands-on experience in modern, AI-driven SEO strategies — not legacy methods. The ideal candidate must understand how ChatGPT, Perplexity, and other AI-based search ecosystems impact SEO today. This role is critical to improving the domain authority of our websites www.aptask.com and www.jobtalk.ai, reducing spam score, and building sustainable, future-proof SEO practices.

This is an onsite role in Kharadi, Pune, working in EST time zone hours. Remote candidates may apply, but onsite candidates will be given preference.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct a comprehensive SEO audit for www.aptask.com and www.jobtalk.ai.
  • Develop and present a 6–12 month SEO execution roadmap aligned with the latest AI-driven SEO practices.
  • Improve domain authority (primary KPI) and reduce spam score with ethical, modern link-building and content strategies.
  • Optimize on-page, off-page, and technical SEO with AI-first tools and methodologies.
  • Monitor SEO performance with AI-powered analytics platforms, and recommend continuous improvements.
  • Stay up to date with emerging SEO trends in AI search engines like ChatGPT Search, Perplexity, and future AI-based search technologies.
  • Collaborate with content, web, and marketing teams to ensure SEO best practices are integrated at every stage.

Requirements

  • 3–6 years of proven SEO experience (intermediate level).
  • Strong expertise in AI-based SEO tools and platforms (not just legacy Google-only SEO).
  • Experience optimizing for ChatGPT, Perplexity, and other AI-driven discovery platforms.
  • Strong understanding of domain authority, spam score reduction, and ethical link-building strategies.
  • Proficiency with modern SEO toolsets (e.g., SurferSEO, SEMrush, Ahrefs, Clearscope, Screaming Frog, RankIQ, etc.).
  • Ability to create actionable audit reports and strategic roadmaps.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Flexibility to work in EST time zone.
