Roles and Responsibilities

Responsibility for managing credit risk and advising on structuring matters in relation to RF transactions within Country, covering the full Commercial Banking and Global Banking franchise for both extant book & new business, including cross-border transactions, syndicated loans, sell downs and exit planning

Required to work across legal entities, departments and multiple stakeholders to deliver effective risk mitigation and maximise portfolio returns across the RF and Trade product suites

Play a full part in the overall performance and direction of the business units including contribution to formation of the overall business direction, consistent with strategic and operating plan goals. There will be specific accountability for setting and implementing risk strategy which includes the future positioning of risk appetite & implementation of Global Operating Procedures, Group Policy in line with Risk Appetite Statement and FIMs

Directly manage the non-recourse & lending portfolio for RF

Direct management of Operational Trade Credit Insurance, Customer Credit & Survey teams to achieve optimal “bottom line contribution” to the Bank’s profits and within acceptable risk / reward parameters

Control & monitor the delegation & use of credit endorsement authorities & business operating authorities on behalf of the Head of RF and ensure that accurate records are maintained & updated on appropriate systems and be responsible for operational risk reporting
