Location - Saudi Arabia (Onsite)
Responsible for the management and performance of his crew in the provision of focused Fire & Rescue Service, including but not limited to: the provision of services to designated NEOM sites, in response to incidents, including fire, rescues, building and facility emergencies, storms, flooding, motor vehicle accidents, hazardous materials release, de-contamination/clean up tasks and rotary wing fire and rescue.
Responsibilities:
• Accountable to the Captain (Watch Manager) for the effective delivery of emergency response and daily duties
• Performs fire and rescue tasks defined in PIP’s/IMG’s, under the command of the Captain (Watch Manager)
• Provides dedicated emergency response services for all allocated sites and associated locations
• Responds to actual or potential emergencies to prevent harm and rescue personnel using specialist equipment as required.
• Responds to actual or potential structural/vehicle fires, including all vehicles in operation,office/accommodation buildings, welfare facilities, warehousing, fuel/petroleum and hazardous products storage areas, and any other area to combat fires and potential fire hazards using specialist equipment as required.
• Assumes the role of Incident Commander at incidents.
• Assumes the role of Sector Commander at large-scale and protracted incidents.
• Leads/Manages the crew of their assigned vehicles or equipment in the performance of all firefighting, rescue or other required duties.
• Directs the positioning of his vehicles, the deployment of his crew and equipment and manages tasks in response to emergency incidents.
• Responsible for the operation of his vehicles radio communications and for coordination with other emergency services vehicles.
• Responsible for communications with fire control room for all necessary messages, instructions and incident information.
• Manages vehicle replenishment of water and agent/media tanks.
• Responsible for driving a range of fire service vehicles, as and when required.
• Assists in the ongoing mandatory competency-based fire training of fire and rescue service personnel as required, ensuring all records are maintained.
• Supervises the daily operations, ensuring serviceability and readiness of vehicle/equipment and manpower in alignment with the airfield category.
• Reports vehicle and equipment status including defects requiring attention to the Captain (Watch Manager).
• Manages daily station duties to maintain a clean and safe working environment, actively promoting health, safety, welfare and environmentally safe practices.
• Conducts all duties in line with company policies and standard operating procedures.
• Is required to wear all provided Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as protective clothing, self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA) and chemical protection as required.
• Performs fire related client/customer engagement activities, including the delivery of educational fire safety awareness programmes, training, specialist event cover and standby services in support of other site departments as required.
• Maintains their own personal physical fitness levels to support requirements of the role.
• Ensures crew physical fitness, medical standards, certifications, qualifications and role competence are maintained.
• Performs any other role and/or associated duties as required and assigned by their line management.
Skills:
• Certified ‘Medically Fit’ for the role (Essential).
• Languages – English Oral/Written (Essential), Arabic Oral/Written (Desirable).
• Proficient in Microsoft Office work suite (Essential).
• Valid light vehicle operator license in country of origin and ability to obtain equivalent in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (Essential).
• Valid heavy vehicle operator license in country of origin and ability to obtain equivalent/transfer in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (Essential).
• (Any additional qualifications or equivalencies will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis)
Experience:
• Experience – Minimum Five-Ten (5-10) years’ experience in fire/rescue services including Two (2) years in a supervisory position. Additional fire/rescue work experience may be substituted for up to two (2) years formal education in the ratio of two (2) years’ experience to one (1) years education (Essential).
• Previous work experience in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (Desirable)
• Previous Middle East work experience (Essential)
Qualifications:
• Education - Ten (10) years formal education. (High School Graduate).
• Specialized Qualifications – Applicants shall be certified competent in role and qualified to a minimum standard of those qualifications or their international equivalents stated Essential below:
