Role Description

A full-time on-site role for an Alias Sculpting Intern at Nish Design located in Pune/Pimpri-Chinchwad Area. As an Alias Sculpting Intern, you will be responsible for creating detailed 3D models using Alias software. Your day-to-day tasks will include creating and modifying 3D designs, collaborating with teams and ensuring the accuracy and quality of the 3D sculpted models.


  • Create quality, accurate 3D surface models that should meet the conceptual design intent.
  • Proficient in AUTODESK ALIAS for CAS and CLASS A modeling.
  • Interpret 2D sketches and renderings into 3D surfaces (Sketch modeling).
  • Should be able to create surfaces from scan data.
  • Should provide alternative proposals and capture design intent creatively.
  • Deliver production quality surfaces and ensure surfaces meet organizational standards of quality and time.
  • Work with the engineers to incorporate all feasibility criteria and create surfaces that meet the criteria.
  • Collaborate with the design team to prototype CAS/Class A models for design approvals.
  • Conduct preliminary engineering and manufacturing feasibility studies before developing high-quality CLASS A surfaces.


Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Alias Automotive software and 3D modeling tools.
  • Experience in sculpting and refining surfaces.
  • Knowledge of Automotive Design and Product Development.
  • Understanding of design principles and aesthetics.
  • Ability to maintain quality standards.
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a team environment.
  • Good communication and collaboration skills.


Good to Haves

  • Experience with Adobe software; Photoshop and Illustrator.
  • Basic knowledge of Automotive Clay Sculpting.
  • Experience with 3D Scanning.
  • Experience with 3D Printing.
  • Basic understanding of Reverse Engineering.
  • Technical understanding of manufacturing techniques involving plastic.
