electronics engineer designs, develops, tests, and maintains electronic components, equipment, and systems, such as those in smartphones or industrial control systems. Key responsibilities include creating CAD designs, performing electrical safety tests, troubleshooting technical issues, documenting specifications, and ensuring products meet industry safety regulations. They work collaboratively with teams and clients, conduct research, and manage project budgets and schedules to bring new electronic products to market.  

Key Responsibilities

Design & Development:

Create blueprints, schematics, and CAD designs for electronic products, components, and systems. 

Testing & Evaluation:

Conduct rigorous tests on electronic products and systems to ensure functionality, performance, and safety. 

Research & Analysis:

Investigate new electronic technologies, analyze customer needs, and evaluate system requirements. 

Documentation:

Prepare technical documents, specifications, and reports detailing design, test results, and project progress. 

Maintenance & Troubleshooting:

Develop procedures for maintaining electronic equipment and systems, and troubleshoot problems as they arise. 

Safety & Compliance:

Ensure that all designs and products comply with relevant safety standards and industry regulations. 

Collaboration & Communication:

Work effectively with cross-functional teams, clients, and other professionals to achieve project goals. 

Project Management:

Plan projects, prepare and manage budgets, and oversee the manufacturing and development process of electronic devices. 

Common Tools & Skills

Software:

Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software for creating designs and electronic software for analysis and simulation. 

Technical Knowledge:

Strong understanding of electrical circuit design, signal processing, and system integration. 

Analytical Skills:

Ability to analyze complex data and identify the root causes of technical issues. 

Communication:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills for technical documentation and team collaboration. 



Requirements
Proven experience as an electrician. Experience in industrial and/or commercial electrical systems. Demonstrable ability to use electrical and hand tools (e.g. wire strippers, voltmeter etc.) ... Thorough knowledge of safety procedures and legal regulations and guidelines
