Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Search Engine Optimization Specialist. The Specialist will be responsible for conducting keyword research, performing SEO audits, building links, analyzing web analytics, and implementing on-page SEO.

Responsibilities

  • Keyword Research: Conduct thorough keyword research to identify high-value, relevant keywords for targeted campaigns and content optimization. Utilize various tools and techniques to understand search intent and competitiveness in the market.
  • SEO Audits: Perform comprehensive SEO audits to assess website health, identify technical issues, and recommend solutions for optimization. This includes analyzing website structure, metadata, site speed, and other factors influencing search engine rankings.
  • Off-Page SEO: Develop and execute effective link building strategies to improve website authority and search rankings. Identify opportunities for acquiring high-quality backlinks from authoritative websites through outreach, partnerships, and content creation.
  • On-Page SEO: Implement on-page optimization techniques to enhance website visibility and relevance for target keywords. This involves optimizing meta tags, headers, content, and internal linking structure to align with SEO best practices and search engine algorithms.
  • Web Analytics Analysis: Utilize web analytics tools such as Google Analytics and Search Console to track website performance, monitor key metrics, and evaluate the effectiveness of SEO efforts. Generate reports and insights to inform strategic decision-making and optimization tactics.
  • Data Analysis and Insights: Analyze SEO performance data and metrics to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement. Translate data into actionable insights and recommendations for enhancing organic search visibility, traffic, and conversions.
  •  Communication and Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams including marketing, content, and development to align SEO strategies with broader business objectives. Communicate SEO recommendations, priorities, and outcomes effectively to stakeholders and team members.
  • Industry Knowledge: Stay updated on industry trends, algorithm changes, and best practices in SEO to maintain a competitive edge. Continuously learn and adapt strategies to evolving search engine algorithms and user behaviors.

Qualifications

  • Expertise in Keyword Research and SEO Audits: Proficiency in conducting keyword research using tools like SEMrush, Ahrefs, or Moz, and performing comprehensive SEO audits to identify technical and content-related issues.
  • Proven Track Record in Off-Page SEO and On-Page SEO: Demonstrated experience in developing and executing successful link building campaigns, as well as implementing on-page optimization strategies to improve search engine rankings and organic traffic.
  • Experience Using Web Analytics Tools: Familiarity with web analytics platforms such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, or similar tools to track and analyze website performance metrics and user behavior.
  • Ability to Analyze Data and Provide Insights: Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret SEO data, identify trends, and derive actionable insights to inform strategic decision-making and optimization tactics.
  • Strong Communication Skills and Team Collaboration: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate SEO recommendations, insights, and outcomes to diverse stakeholders and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience in the Education Industry (Optional): Previous experience or familiarity with SEO strategies and challenges specific to the education industry would be advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Bachelor's Degree: A bachelor's degree in marketing, business, computer science, or a related field is preferred, although relevant work experience and certifications may be considered in lieu of formal education.
