Description :About the Role : We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive QA Test Engineer to join our quality assurance team. In this role, you will be responsible for testing web, mobile, or API-based applications to ensure a high-quality product. You will work closely with developers, product managers, and other QA team members to identify defects early in the software development lifecycle and help maintain high-quality standards.Key Responsibilities :- Analyze business and technical requirements and develop test plans and test cases accordingly.- Perform manual testing of web and/or mobile applications to validate functionality, usability, and performance.- Execute various testing types such as functional, regression, smoke, integration, and exploratory testing.- Document and track bugs using tools such as JIRA, Bugzilla, or Azure DevOps, and work with developers to ensure timely resolution.- Assist in the creation and maintenance of automated test scripts (basic automation knowledge expected).- Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives as part of Agile teams.- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure test coverage and quality throughout the software development lifecycle.- Conduct basic API testing using tools like Postman or Swagger.- Contribute to improving QA processes and documentation.Required Skills & Experience :- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.- 25 years of hands-on experience in software testing.- Strong knowledge of SDLC, STLC, and various testing methodologies.- Good understanding of manual testing processes, including writing test cases and defect reporting.- Experience with at least one test management tool (e.g., TestRail, Zephyr, Xray).- Basic experience or understanding of automation tools like Selenium, TestNG, or similar (a plus).- Working knowledge of API testing and tools like Postman or REST-assured.- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development processes.- Strong communication and documentation skills (ref:hirist.tech)
