Job Title : Software Development Engineer Test II

Role Description :

Quality Insight team is looking for a highly motivated, Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) with experience in testing methodologies, automation and development, who is enthusiastic about the new cutting-edge technology offered to consumers. You should seize this opportunity if you have a passion for customer needs, a understanding of web applications, API and mobile apps and proven automation or test tool development experience.

SDETs work with functional teams to understand features, technical implementation, and maintenance of the software products. They should work with groups such as Product Management, User Interaction, and Customer Support to understand usage models and develop test plans and suites that approximate real-world environments and regression tests and driving the software development process towards quality-centric data driven methodologies.

About Team :

Quality Insight team in central platform group is accountable for ensuring non-functional quality standards for consumer applications. Quality Insight team has mandate to ensure that platforms meet high standards of quality, stability, performance and reliability, operating around the clock on a massive scale.

Roles & Responsibilities (What you'll do) :

- You will be responsible for owning the complete or component design of the automation framework and planning and designing automation for performance, API, and UI for product and data pipelines.

- You would also lead setting up automation infra, which would need you to work on setting triggers in CI/CD pipeline and using Docker orchestration for on-demand resource allocation.

- You will be building high-quality automation frameworks to cover end-to-end testing of your owned features.

- You will get an opportunity to contribute at all levels of the test pyramid.

- You will also work with customer success and product teams to replicate post-production release issues.

- Besides that, you will attract talent and guide SDETs to gain knowledge of new tools and remove blockers.

Skills Required (What you'll need) :

- Strong object-oriented design and coding skills (C, C++ or Java)

- Coding experience with automated testing frameworks, tools, services, and physical devices

- Experience in conducting performance, load, stress, volume testing of various modules

- Cover both API as well as UI during performance tests

- Good exposure to test frameworks like JUnit, Test NG, Cucumber and mocking frameworks.

- Test, Develop and implement automated tests using any language i.e. Python, Java etc.

- Experience in any Automation Framework i.e. Locust, Selenium, Cucumber, Appium etc.

- Exposure to Agile development, TDD, and Lean development

- Mobile Automation Experience, Good to have experience

Previous work experience : 2 - 6 years of relevant work experience in automation, tools development, or performance engineering

Education Qualifications : Bachelor degree in Computer Science Engineering or related field.
