Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Head Design Engineer to lead the design and engineering team for our Coal Handling Project. This pivotal role requires exceptional technical expertise, leadership, and project management skills to ensure the successful delivery of a world-class coal handling Overall responsibility for the design, engineering, and development of the coal handling system, including equipment selection, layout, and process optimization.

- Lead a multidisciplinary team of engineers to deliver comprehensive design solutions within budget and schedule constraints.

- Develop and implement design standards, procedures, and quality control processes.

- Collaborate with project management, procurement, and construction teams to ensure seamless integration of design with project execution.

- Conduct feasibility studies, conceptual design, and detailed engineering for various coal handling components (unloaders, conveyors, stackers, reclaimers, etc.).

- Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, codes, and regulations.

- Identify and mitigate design risks, proposing innovative solutions to technical challenges.

- Oversee the preparation of detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and calculations.

- Review and approve design deliverables from the engineering team.

- Coordinate with equipment vendors and suppliers for technical clarifications and design optimizations.

- Provide technical support during equipment procurement, installation, and commissioning.

- Stay updated with the latest advancements in coal handling technologies and industry best Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering / Mechanical Engineering or equivalent with a strong focus on material handling systems.

- Minimum of 15+ years of experience in the design and engineering of coal handling systems for large-scale industrial projects.

- Proven track record in leading design teams and delivering complex engineering projects on time and within budget.

- In-depth knowledge of coal handling equipment, processes, and materials.

- Proficiency in engineering design software (CAD, FEA, simulation tools).

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on optimization and cost-effectiveness.

- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills to effectively manage a team and collaborate with stakeholders.

- Ability to make sound decisions under pressure and handle multiple priorities simultaneously.

- Strong project management skills, including planning, scheduling, and resource allocation.

- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, and Opportunity to lead a critical engineering function on a large-scale project.
