Physical Design Engineer

We are looking for a talented Floorplan/Partitioning/RDL Routing Engineer to join our Physical Design team. You will play a critical role in the physical implementation of our integrated circuits (ICs), ensuring they meet performance, power, and area targets.


Responsibilities:

  • Develop floorplans for ICs, considering factors like design hierarchy, clock tree placement, and I/O placement.
  • Perform partitioning of the design into functional blocks for efficient placement and routing.
  • Create routing architectures, including clock trees, power grids, and signal routing, meeting timing and signal integrity constraints.
  • Utilize Computer Aided Design (CAD) tools for floorplan creation, partitioning, and routing.
  • Collaborate with design and layout engineers to ensure consistency and address any physical design challenges.
  • Perform physical verification to identify and resolve design rule violations (DRC) and layout versus schematic (LVS) errors.
  • Analyze and optimize the physical design for power consumption and performance.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in physical design methodologies and tools.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in physical design of integrated circuits.
  • Strong understanding of floorplanning concepts, partitioning techniques, and routing algorithms.
  • Proficiency in Electronic Design Automation (EDA) tools for physical design (e.g., Cadence Innovus, Synopsys ICC).
  • Knowledge of design for manufacturability (DFM) principles.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate clearly with colleagues.
