Position: Head-Corporate Communication

Experience : 15-20 Years

Location: Oragadam, Chennai (Transportation facilities will be provided)

Roles & Responsibilities:

- External communications, including strategic planning, establishing and maintaining relations to the media, important stakeholders as well as Daimler Truck Asia.

- Safeguarding Daimler's One Voice policy in all communications.

- Supervision of external communications, including external presentations of DICV employees. Organization and supervision of all media interviews, press conferences and media events. Planning and management of the external communications budget.

- Internal communications, including establishing and maintaining different channels to communicate to employees, production of news and contents, counseling of departments in their internal communications.

- Development of new formats, digital as well as physical, to reach out to internal audiences.

- Strategic promotion of company values and brands as well as support to solve current challenges via communicative support.

- News management for DICV, including the informing of all managers on recent key news and media stories concerning the company and industry.

- Planning and management of the internal communications budget.

- CEO Communications, including strategic planning of all external communication of the CEO, including speeches, interviews and public appearances.

- Ghostwriting of external contents for press and general public. Responsible for the overall positioning of the CEO and the development of up to date statements for all current topics / crisis topics within the organization.

- Participation in managerial committees including Opcom (executive and managerial steering committees). Provision of communications-related advice, creation and overview of communications, representative of Corporate Communications department

- Management of Corporate Communications team with three staff taking care of internal, external and social media channels. Includes recruitment, training and University degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism or similar Experience

- 7+ years in an Internal/External communications role

- 3+ years of team leadership or 5+ years of experience leading cross-functional teams/projects

Special knowledge:

- Excellent English language skills, knowledge of Tamil and/or Hindi a bonus

- Automotive Industry Knowledge Preferred

- Familiarity with digital tools for social media, photo/video editing and generative AI, or willingness to learn

- Experience as a professional writer or journalist a bonus
