About the Role :

Ascendion is seeking an experienced and skilled Azure DevOps Engineer with a strong focus on SonarQube integration to join our team. With over 6 years of required experience, you will be instrumental in designing, implementing, and managing our Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines within Azure DevOps, with a particular emphasis on integrating SonarQube for comprehensive static code quality analysis. You will work closely with development teams across various technologies to enforce code quality standards, improve codebase health, and champion DevSecOps practices. This is a full-time hybrid role based out of one of our designated locations in India.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, implement, and manage end-to-end Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines using Azure DevOps.

- Integrate SonarQube seamlessly into the Azure DevOps pipelines to automate static code quality checks and enforce quality gates.

- Configure and manage SonarQube projects, profiles, and quality gates to align with organizational code quality standards across multiple programming languages, including Java, .NET, and Python.

- Collaborate with development teams to educate them on code quality standards, SonarQube findings, and help them remediate technical debt and code smells.

- Configure SonarQube integration with Git repositories and implement pull request (PR) workflows to provide automated code quality feedback early in the development cycle.

- Monitor and analyze SonarQube dashboards and reports to track codebase health and identify areas for improvement.

- Troubleshoot issues related to Azure DevOps pipelines, SonarQube analysis, and integration points.

- Work with teams to automate builds, tests, and deployments.

- Leverage experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes.

- Apply familiarity with other DevOps tools like Jenkins and infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform in cloud environments (Azure, AWS).

- Champion DevSecOps practices and contribute to integrating security into the CI/CD pipelines.

- Contribute to the continuous improvement of CI/CD processes, tooling, and automation strategies.

- Provide technical guidance and support to teams on DevOps and SonarQube best practices.

Required Qualifications :

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Minimum of 6+ years of experience in DevOps, Software Engineering, or a related technical role, with a strong focus on CI/CD and automation.

Required Skills & Experience :

- Strong background and hands-on experience with Azure DevOps for building and managing CI/CD pipelines.

- Proven experience with SonarQube, including setup, configuration (projects, quality gates), and integration with CI/CD pipelines.

- Experience integrating SonarQube with Git repositories and pull request workflows.

- Proficiency in setting up automated static code analysis for languages such as Java, .NET, and Python using SonarQube.

- Solid understanding of Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) principles and practices.

- Experience working with Git for version control.

- Familiarity with containerization using Docker.

- Experience with orchestration platforms like Kubernetes is highly beneficial.

- Familiarity with other DevOps tools such as Jenkins and Terraform.

- Experience working in cloud environments, specifically Azure and preferably also AWS.

- Experience collaborating directly with software development teams to enforce and improve code quality.

- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.

- Good communication and collaboration skills.

- Passionate about DevSecOps practices.
