Job Summary:


The client is looking for a Salesforce DevOps Engineer:


Design and develop custom applications, features, and integrations within the Salesforce platform. Collaborate with business analysts and project managers to gather and analyze requirements. Create and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, test plans, and user guides.


Responsibilities:

  • Plan and execute scheduled releases across multiple Salesforce instances.
  • Ensure proper tracking of released components in version control.
  • Assume ownership and continuous improvement of the release process by documenting release issues and developing plans to improve process or automation.
  • Prepare release notes and communicate release progress/status to Scrum and Stakeholders.
  • Conduct Release Readiness reviews, Milestone Reviews, and Business Go/No-Go reviews.
  • Work closely with development staff to resolve build problems/merge conflicts.
  • Responsible for maintaining consistency between Salesforce sandbox environments spanning Development, QA, SIT, UAT and Production.
  • Manage deployments between sandbox environments.
  • Ensure sandboxes are functional and ready for use after deployments or Salesforce releases.
  • Data-loading/seeding of sandbox environments to provide functional environments for development and testing.
  • Provide application support in resolving and troubleshooting problems.
  • Evaluate and mitigate all risks to environment security and stability.
  • Support the development operations structure and audit needs of the Scrum team.
  • Keep informed of new technologies and/or methodologies through publications, membership in professional organizations and contact with other IT organizations and institutions.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Technology, or in a related field.
  • 3 + years of experience as Salesforce release engineer leveraging deployment tools (e.g. Copado, Gearset, AutoRabit, Salesforce DevOps Center) preferably Copado.
  • 2 + years of experience as a Salesforce Developer or a Salesforce Administrator
  • Strong experience with source code control systems such as GitHub, Azure DevOps etc.
  • Strong experience with Salesforce DX
  • Strong knowledge in Salesforce Metadata
  • Strong analytical, problem solving/decision making skills.
  • Salesforce Administrator Certification
  • Salesforce App Builder Certification
  • Copado Consultant Certification
