Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Azure APIM Specialist to design, implement, and manage API solutions using Azure API Management. The ideal candidate will ensure secure, scalable, and high-performing API integrations, while driving automation and governance across the API lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Configure and manage Azure API Management (APIM) policies, developer portals, and complete API lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, scalable, and high-performance API integrations.
  • Automate deployments using CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.
  • Monitor, analyze, and troubleshoot API performance with Azure monitoring tools.
  • Ensure compliance with security, governance, and regulatory standards.

Required Skills & Expertise

API Management & Integration

  • Strong hands-on experience with Azure API Management (API import/export, policy configuration, developer portal, versioning, revisions).
  • Expertise in RESTful API design and OpenAPI/Swagger documentation.

Security & Governance

  • Proficiency in OAuth2, JWT, API key management.
  • Experience with Azure Key Vault and RBAC.
  • Solid understanding of compliance and governance in cloud environments.

DevOps & Automation

  • Experience building CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
  • Scripting skills in PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
  • Familiarity with Terraform or Pulumi for Infrastructure as Code.

Monitoring & Troubleshooting

  • Hands-on expertise with Azure Monitor, Application Insights, and Log Analytics.
  • Ability to debug, optimize, and enhance API performance.
