Design, manage, and optimize Big Data platforms using Spark, BigTable/SingleStore. Leverage cloud-based platforms such as GCP DataProc, CloudFunction, AWS DataSync, S3, and Lambda for development and deployment. Contribute significantly to the design and implementation of architecturally critical components in end-to-end large-scale projects. Collaborate with multiple teams to gather requirements and create sustainable technical solutions. Play a hands-on role in delivering team projects involving distributed systems at scale. Communicate effectively around technical and product concepts. Continuously ask why and seek better ways to do things.Your team will: As a Senior Backend Engineer (Big Data), this individual will design, build, and optimize large-scale, distributed backend systems and big data ecosystems. The role will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions that meet specific and measurable business requirements.About you: 8+ years of experience writing and deploying high-quality production code. Strong proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, and GoLang. Experience with Spark, GCP DataProc, CloudFunction, and DataFlow. Familiarity with AWS DataSync, S3, and Lambda. Expertise in BigTable & SingleStore. 4+ years managing and optimizing Big Data ecosystems (Spark, BigTable/SingleStore). Delivered at least one end-to-end large-scale project as a hands-on engineer. Demonstrated ability to build technical solutions that meet specific business needs. Significant contributions to distributed systems projects at scale. Excellent communicator and problem solver.Preferred Skills: Experience with TypeScript (Node.js). Familiarity with DevOps tools (Docker, Terraform, Jenkins, Spinnaker). Hands-on experience with Google Kubernetes Engine. Experience with AWS Fargate.
