Position: Solar Design Engineer – Ground Mount & BESSLocation: Gujarat (Rajkot / Site-based with office work)Experience: 4–8 yearsEmployment Type: Full-time (In-house)About UsRocket Solar (Weagle Impex Group) is building premium, future-ready solar power projects with a strong focus on clean layouts, long-term performance, and scalable design philosophy.We work across Ground-Mounted Solar Parks, Captive/Open Access Projects, and upcoming BESS solutions.Role ObjectiveThe Solar Design Engineer will own the complete technical design lifecycle of solar projects — from concept to execution support — and will act as the design backbone of Rocket Power.Key Responsibilities1️⃣ Concept & Detailed Design- Prepare concept layouts for ground-mounted solar plants (0.5 MW to 10+ MW) - Design DC & AC system architecture (DC/AC ratio optimisation) - Inverter selection & string sizing (Solis / Sungrow / String & Central) - Layout planning: inverter placement, internal roads, drainage, washing paths - Structure design coordination (fixed tilt / seasonal tilt / SAT)2️⃣ Electrical Engineering- DC string design, cable sizing, voltage drop calculations - AC side design: LT panels, transformers, RMU, HT panels - 11kV / 33kV evacuation planning (single & double circuit) - Earthing & lightning protection system design as per IEC / IS standards3️⃣ Simulation & Performance- PVsyst simulations (CUF, losses, degradation assumptions) - Generation modelling aligned with Gujarat RE Policy & GERC rules - Support generation guarantees & client techno-commercial discussions4️⃣ Documentation & Approvals- AutoCAD drawings: GA, SLD, cable routing, earthing layouts - Discom submission drawings & coordination - Support statutory approvals and audits5️⃣ Execution & Coordination- Coordinate with: - Project execution team - Structure vendors - Inverter & module suppliers - Provide site-level design clarifications during execution - Ensure design intent is maintained on ground6️⃣ Future Readiness- Support BESS integration (Launching Soon) - Standardise Rocket Power design templates & checklists - Build a design playbook for repeatable premium projectsRequired Skills & Tools- AutoCAD – Mandatory - PVsyst – Mandatory - Strong understanding of: - Ground mount EPC design - Gujarat Renewable Energy Policy - IEC / IS electrical standards - Practical exposure to: - ≥5 MW cumulative ground-mounted projects - 11kV evacuation systems - Excel-based calculations & reportsQualifications- B.E / B.Tech in Electrical Engineering (preferred) - Diploma candidates with strong EPC experience may be consideredWhat We’re Looking For- Ownership mindset (not a drawing operator) - Design clarity & logic - Interest in premium, long-life solar assets - Ability to think beyond “standard EPC jugaad designs”Compensation- ₹8 – ₹10 LPA (based on experience & capability) - Performance-based growth - Long-term role with leadership exposureWhy Join Rocket Solar?- Direct founder interaction - High-visibility projects - Freedom to design future-ready solar plants - Opportunity to grow into Design Head / Technical LeadApply with:- Resume + sample drawings / PVsyst reports (if available)
