Data Architect - Snowflake - CREQ Description We are seeking an experienced Data Architect with over 10+ years of expertise to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong skills in Snowflake, SQL, and data modeling. This role involves designing, developing, and optimizing data architectures and pipelines, ensuring data quality and accessibility for business intelligence and and implement scalable data architectures that meet business requirements.
Develop and maintain comprehensive data models, including conceptual, logical, and physical models.
Perform source-to-target mapping and ensure data integrity across and optimize complex SQL queries against Snowflake and other SQL databases.
Develop scripts using Unix, Python, and other relevant languages to automate data extraction, loading, and transformation (ELT) processes.Utilize Snowflake utilities such as SnowSQL, SnowPipe, Tasks, Streams, Time Travel, and Optimizer.
Manage and optimize Snowflake environments for performance and cost-efficiency.
Implement data sharing and stored procedures in ETL tools like DBT to design and manage data pipelines.
Ensure data quality and consistency through rigorous testing and validation.
Integrate data from various sources into Snowflake for analysis and reportingAddress complex data issues and continuously improve data processes.
Stay current with industry trends and best practices in data architecture and effectively within a global team environment, collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Communicate findings, designs, and recommendations effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Maintain comprehensive documentation for data models, processes, and system configurations.
Participate in Agile delivery processes, contributing to sprint planning, reviews, and ten years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, or a related field.Extensive experience with Snowflake and SQL proficiency in Snowflake, including SnowSQL, SnowPipe, and other utilities.
Excellent SQL coding skills and experience with advanced SQL optimization techniques.Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python and Unix.Experience with data modeling tools and methodologies.
Familiarity with ETL tools, specifically DBTStrong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Proven ability to solve complex data problems and implement effective solutions.Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to create clear and comprehensive documentation for data processes and systems.Experience working in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.Experience with metadata management and data governance.
Familiarity with other BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
